Ruan Thiaun was seated in the same chair by the side of Lee's bed. They looked at the monitor pulse. Her eyes was locked at the monitor, but she was thinking why did the mission failed! The mission was suppose to be plain and simple. But when they got their it seemed more like a trap. The moment they had stepped in the deep bushes the ambush from the beast was unleashed. Those mutated wild beasts ambushed from all directions.
All though their effort was valiant but all perished with Lee nearly got killed. What is the link with Dr. Lily and why there was an antidote made of mutated beast! It was like a jigsaw puzzle to her.
Ruan Thiaun leaned forward, her eyes locked onto Lee's eyes. The silence of her was killing him.
"You seem to be bit down today; not usual yourself!"
Lee's lips curled with a smirk as he Lee opened his mouth to breath the silence.
"I was hoping to play nice to you since you just gave your last breath to save someone that you hardly knew." Ruan Thiuan scoffed, her eyes gleaming with disdain.
"Still, you are normally chirpy, but not today. Is anything seems to bothering you excluding my health?"
Lee felt there is something in Ruan's mind. She seemed to be restless.
Ruan looked at Cynthia, her voice trembled, "Actually I have some doubts in my mind. I needed some clarification from you!"
A cold, suffocation weight settled over the room.
Cynthia gave a bitter laugh. "Ask dear, tell me what is it that's bothering you?"
Ruan Thiaun paused for a bit. She broke the silence. Her tone was smoothing cold.
"I was more curious about the mutated beast, Cynthia did you had any information that you did not tell us…"
Cynthia stood up from the chair and marched towards Ruan Thiaun. Her voice lace of disdain as her eyes were no fixed at Ruan.
"Dr. Lily was working with a project called Mutant X chromosome. While we asked regarding the study she had revealed that she once was associated with Xin-Xuan Company and she picked up a formula that will make medical history."
"So, you knew about this?"- Sense of betrayal flumed into Ruan's eyes. She spoke the words as it burned her tongue.
"Well she wanted the clinical trail while she had mentioned about the experiments could have taken place somewhere secret by Pamela. But trust me we did not knew that these creatures would be present there. When I heard you were fighting these beast I was sure it was the work of Dr. Lily has been put in to trial by Pamela and her company."

All of a sudden the security guards spoke on the airphone to Cynthia. Their was tension in the air. "Cynthia, it's Bruno. Look like we have intruders, They are brotherhood's men. They have entered in the hospital premises. They are attacking our guards.. I am send men. Till then youn need to hide and Keep your self safe… Inform Ruan and Lee.. We are on the way…"
Cynthia froze for a moment then she looked at Ruan. Her brows were raised and she muttered-
"We have been attacked by Brotherhood. We need to hide!"
Ruan Thiaun was in shock. They had no weapons with them. How they could they defend them.
Lee just recovering from a major attack which almost costed his life, thankfully with Dr. Lily's antibiotics he is getting better. But both the physical body and brain still needs time to recover.
None the less, Lee did not panic. He knows he is and worrier and a guardian. What ever shape his body is it does not matter he will not them harm these girls.
Lee signaled both Ruan and Cynthia to get back behind the bed. The penetrating chill soon assailed his body. He could clearly hearing the movement and gunshots outside. He took the surgical blade from the kidney tray that was on the top of the table along with gauge. His lips curled with a smile, "Don't worry I will take care of this."
"Just hidden and don't come out"- Lee ordered Cynthia and Ruan Thiaun. Then grabbing the small surgical blade he headed towards the door.
"Wait," Ruan said sharply, "I am coming with you."
Ruan did not hesitated for any answer from Lee before grabbing a piece of sharp scissor from the kidney tray in her hand. And went behind Lee.
Lee waited for the men to attack from outside, there was little stiffness in his moves, it was perhaps the side effects of the drugs running in his veins. But he grabbed the blade strongly in his hand as a weapon. Lee gave a silent nod not to make much noise in order to garb much attention as he could feel the men was very close.
Three massive men entered the room as they had guns in their hands fueled with strong energy and rage.
Lee stance shifted as these two men entered in the room with heavy guns. One man was a thin Chinese guy with a shotgun in his hand and the second man was a big Russian guy with a AK47.
Meanwhile, Lee was waiting behind the door with a lower stance. His jaw was tightened and ready to pounce on the prey like a wild dog, then he quickly snatched the gun from the hand of a Chinese man and slit the blade in the seconds man's throat with a firm grip. The Chinese men fall down in the floor chocking to death as blood was pouring through his throat.
Lee made another quick move as saw the Russian guy was charging in with AK47 in his hand. With the sudden bust of raw strength Lee hit the Russian guy with his elbow on his neck. The hit made him growl as the AK-47 gun fell on the ground from his hand. The Russian guy went backward to recover the blow.
Ruan Thiaun made a sharp move to stab the scissor in the Russian man's chest. He screamed with pain and rage. As he grabbed Ruan Thiaun in his big hands and threw Ruan Thiaun to the bed. Ruan Thiaun fell on the bed.
The Russian guy went down to reach for the gun from the floor. It was enough time for Lee, as he gave the Russian attacker no chance. Lee aimed the shot gun and fired couple of shot in to the Russian man's head. His skull burst with blood and brain messed all over the floor and the wall of the cabin.
