Chapter 3 - 'Fighting' the inhumans

{Author note: I know you are wondering what about Altian, the Inhumans city. Well to tell you the truth, the Inhumans sucks and i don't want to bother writing about their point of view of Aeternus arrival. So im giving them a mercy of not letting their process and harvested food rotten.

Anyway enjoy the story.}

(Aeternus Vortigern POV)

"Just my fucking luck. First, I have to deal with Earth's so-called 'greatest' heroes when I arrive. Now, I have to put up with these guys the fucking Inhumans.

A group so irrelevant that even their own creators barely remember they exist to give them important role."

"Power variety? Trash. Popularity? Nonexistent. Story? A disaster.

Seriously, what kind of roster is this? A chick with strong hair? A dense guy who can't even speak without blowing up half a planet? A guy who sees flaws and knows martial arts? A guy with hooves that can stomp really hard and A girl who is just a living vibrator?

Their biggest achievement is having a TV show that flopped harder than an nokb acrobat.

Its like marvel trying to send a message really said, 'Let's make the most forgettable superpowered royal family ever,' and then tried to shove them down everyone's throats as a replacement for mutants. And guess what? Nobody bought it.

Like come on, you added black bolt in the Marvel cinematic universe in Dr strange second movie, people think that he has a big role, but no he died the most pathetic way.

But hey, at least they have Lockjaw, the one Inhuman who actually matters. A giant teleporting dog that people care about more than the entire royal family combined.'

I decided to keep my act as the god emperor character infront of the inhumans.

"Is there a problem?"

"Yes, we noticed that a visitor with high energy come to this moon and this visitor we're looking for is right in front of us."

Says Medusa as she fold her arms looking at me with caution.

Gorgon speaks. "Just who the hell are you exactly and what are you doing here."

'Sigh, this is getting tiring.'

I look at the inhumans and give them the same introduction of how I am the God Emperor of the imperium, the leader of the Coalition of Galaxies from a different reality, how I got here and tell them I restored earth's harvested and processed food by 70%.

The inhumans listen every detail from my bullshit story i made up, glancing at each other. But Quake, also known as Daisy Johnson speaks up.

"Yeah, a big story from you "God Emperor", but what are you doing in the moon exactly."

Well, she has a point of why I am here, I'll just give them a vague answer.

"I am here in this moon because I seek to meet a certain someone, that can see through the cosmos and I'm not here to cause trouble just need speak this person the directions i need to go."

However, instead of taking my compliment of not causing trouble here and just want to meet a person I'm looking for to give me some directions to a place I want to go.

They instead think of me as a enemy and told me this.

"You have no business here," Medusa stated firmly. "If you seek the Watcher, know that this place is not for you. It would be best if you turned back now and never returned."

" •...•"

Yeah...This is Awkward, from what i remember they have no idea Utao the watcher is dead , killed by Nick fury during the events of original sin comic series.

That also includes the part he took the Watcher's place by the other watchers but as a prisoner in the moon.

Now I think about it, they unknowingly protecting a dead god who's head is a size of poppa head while the actual murderer is right under their noses?

This is like setting up an elite security detail around an empty bank vault while the thief is inside counting the stolen cash. And they have the audacity to tell me to leave?

'I didn't want to this but, you force my hand.'

I breathe in and exhaled as I look at the inhumans again seriously.

"I'm sorry, but I cannot leave this place until I get what I want."

"It seems you let us with no choice.

black bolt."

Black bolt steps forward and folded his arms and begin to whisper.

"Go away."

The single command rippled through the air, unleashing a shockwave that tore across the moon's surface and crashed into Aeternus with enough force to send lesser beings into the void of space.

As the dust settled, the Inhumans watched in stunned silence. I was still standing completely unscathed and casually dusted off my armor, unfazed and thought about not taking damage.

'Jeez so you're telling me, hulk took damage from this bozo? Marvel really did try their to give the inhumans important role.'

I keep my god emperor character going.

"Like I said, I'm not leaving until I get what I came for."

But Black Bolt was far from finished. His eyes narrowed at me, his lips parting just slightly. The Inhumans instinctively took a step back, realizing he was about to speak with a bit more force to level entire mountains.

'I think it's time to test out my Divine Reflection and see how strong is my one compared to his.'

So I activate my Divine Reflection to copy black bolts attack

"LEAVE."

The single word black bolt spoke erupted like the wrath of a god, sending an unfathomable shockwave across the moon's surface. The very ground split apart, jagged cracks spreading out in all directions as the sheer force of his voice sent debris flying into the void of space.

And yet…

Just as it was about to reach me, i stood firm, my Divine Reflection activated and I say one word in response.

"No."

*BOOM*

Black Bolt's attack shattered upon meeting its mirrored counterpart, and the force of mine surged forward.

It breaks through black bolt's attack and it's coming straight for human and his Fellow inhumans.

Medusa uses her hair as a sheild while the Inhumans barely had time to react what just happened before the shockwave hurtled toward them.

The very ground beneath their feet cracked, and Black Bolt himself was hit by it, the very power i copied to test out was now bearing down on him.

I use my advance vision to look closer what's happening with the inhumans and i have to say it's not good for them.

Medusa hair couldn't hold it as parts of it pushed back and the not so lucky ones is Karnak the martial arts boy.

His right side got hit by the attack, he screams in agony as his right arm flesh torn and his fingers bent backwards until it completely eviscerated.

'Ouch, that's gotta hurt.'

As the shockwave finally dissipated, Gorgon and Quake rushed to Karnak's side, helping him as he clutched the right stump where his arm used to be in pain.

While Medusa check on her husband black bolt. He is severely injured and his face showed shock and confusion of what has happened.

"Don't look at me as the enemy, because I'm going to repeat these words like I said before

I will not leave until I get what I came for.

Gorgon turned toward me, rage burning in his eyes. His hands clenched into fists, his hooves stomping the ground in fury.

"You bastard!" he roared.

Gorgon charged at me like an enraged bull, his hooves pounding against the ground, eyes burning with fury. His fist reeled back, ready to punch me with all his strength.

I looked down and sighed, shaking my head. "You really don't learn, do you?"

Just before his punch could connect, I moved my arm becoming a blur, delivering 500 devastating punches in a single second.

A sickening series of cracks, pops, and wet smacks filled the air as my strikes ripped through his body. His armor buckled inward, bones snapping like twigs, and veins rupturing under the sheer force. His once-mighty frame shuddered violently, bruises and deep indentations spreading across his skin like a grotesque tapestry of pain and confusion.

By the time the assault ended, Gorgon's limbs twitched uncontrollably. His entire body collapsed, smashing into the moon's rocky surface with a lifeless thud. Blood trickled from his mouth and nose, his breaths shallow and ragged.

I looked down at him, unimpressed. 'Yeah… you're not getting up from that anytime soon.'

Then, I casually twirling my sword, glancing at the others. " It'll take at least a year for him to even walk properly again if he survives."

"Gorgon!"

The other Inhumans saw their comrade is in critical condition, they were shock of how their enemy who is me. Beat him to a pulp for a second.

Black Bolt stood frozen, his fists trembling. He wanted to scream, to unleash his voice and obliterate this monster who had shattered his team.

But he couldn't.

Gorgon was too close.

If he attacked, even at a whisper—his own comrade would die.

And Black Bolt… was already injured. His earlier attack had done nothing, and now, his body was failing him.

Gorgon lay on the ground, his body trembling from the brutal beating Aeternus had just delivered. His bones ached, his vision blurred, but his pride refused to let him stay down.

Through gritted teeth, he forced himself up, glaring at Aeternus with sheer defiance.

"You think this is ov—"

CRACK!

Not waiting around his warrior speech i cut him off mid-sentence with a kick to the face, sending Gorgon's body hurtling through the air like a ragdoll.

He crashed into the ground violently, bouncing twice before finally skidding to a stop. Blood spewed from his mouth as he clutched his face, a horrible wheezing sound escaping him.

I casually talk to him. "I didn't ask for a monologue."

Medusa gasped, her fury igniting as she snapped her hair toward me, attempting to ensnare me. But before she could even react—

SHRRRK!

My instincts flared, my body moving before my mind even registered the action.

My arm blurred, a razor-sharp ki-infused slice cutting through Medusa's hair like paper.

The severed strands fell lifelessly to the ground.

Medusa froze, her eyes wide with horror as she clutched what little remained of her once-powerful locks. Before she could even scream—

BOOM!

I casually flicked a tiny ki blast, striking the top of her head. A controlled explosion ignited the remnants of her hair, singeing her scalp just enough to ensure she got the TV version treatment from his past life.

Medusa shrieked, frantically slapping at the flames as smoke curled around her head. She fell to her knees, her pride and power reduced to nothing in mere seconds.

I chuckled, shaking my head of her now bald and this brings some memories from my past life.

"Man, that felt way too familiar."

After seeing the broken inhumans, i decided to not waste my time and walk away to meet the person I'm looking for.

.....

(3rd POV)

The remaining Inhumans stared in horror not just at the overwhelming power of Aeternus but at how casually and utterly he humiliated them.

Daisy's heart pounded as she surveyed the aftermath.

Karnak lay groaning in pain, his missing right arm . Medusa's once-powerful hair was now a scorched, useless mess. Gorgon holding his face wheezed through broken ribs. And Black Bolt, the king of yhe inhumans, had been silenced.

Aeternus Vortigern stood amidst the wreckage, his black armor gleaming under the moon's pale glow. He had torn through the Inhumans with ease, and worst of all, Aeternus is walking awawasn't even taking them seriously

Daisy gritted her teeth. He came here for something. She didn't know what, but whatever it was, it couldn't be good.

She raised her hands, rage burning inside her. "You're not walking away from this."

Aeternus stopped mid-step, glancing over his shoulder. "Oh? And why's that?"

Daisy didn't answer—she attacked.

A concentrated quake blasted forward, not just aiming to knock him back, but to disrupt him at the molecular level. If she couldn't hurt his armor, she'd tear him apart from the inside.

But just before the shockwave could hit—

Aeternus lifted a single hand.

The tremors stopped.

Daisy felt a cold, crushing pressure in her chest. Wait what?

Then, she gasped.

Her own power, against her.

Her lungs locked up. No air.

She staggered, clutching her throat, struggling to breathe. What the hell did he just do?!

He sighed. " Not bad. But your power pales to comparison to whitebeard in one piece and i think you better off use those powers to dominate weak men in bed."

Daisy collapsed, her vision swimming. She tried to force another attack, but she can't breath properly.

Her knees hit the ground. Her fingers clawed at the moon's surface. She couldn't fight like this.

Medusa and black bolt tried to support her, while lock jaw has teleported to gorgon when Aeternus is using Quake ability on her lungs and teleport back with him to the group.

Medusa look at Aeternus one last time before turning her sights to lock jaw.

"We need to retreat and heal them."

Lock jaw nodded and begin to activate his ability. The inhumans are envelope by bright blue light getting teleported back to Attilan.

Aeternus knows that they have retreat to tend their wound. Well, except for medusa cause the only wound she's trying to heal was her bald head.

He turns around and walks away.

"Now... time to meet this person."

.....

After thoroughly humiliating the Inhumans, Aeternus Vortigern continued his walk taking his time as he made his way toward the person he had been seeking while looking around the moon.

He remembered how in his younger years from his previous life dreaming of going to the moon.

Sure he's not in his world and the moon is on is not normal but that still counts as one of his dreams become true.

but after about ten minutes, he finally spotted a lone figure in the distance.

A man stood there, draped in a tattered cloak, heavy chains wrapped around his body like a prisoner bound by fate. His once-sharp presence had dulled, replaced by an eerie stillness. A faint blue glow emanated from his right eye socket—a cursed mark of his past choices.

Aeternus approached, his steps slow and deliberate, stopping just half a meter away. He gazed down at the man with an amused smirk before speaking.

"Well… if it isn't Nick Fury. or should I say, The Unseen?" Aeternus let out a chuckle.

"How's it feel, child. You spent your whole life watching over the earth, pulling the strings from the shadows, only to end up literally taking Uatu's place to gain cosmic knowledge. Talk about irony.

Now you're stuck playing Watcher, unable to lift a finger while the universe spins on without you. Quite the downgrade from 'Earth's Invisible Protector,' wouldn't you say?"

His eyes glow bright red with amusement. "Tell me, how does it feel? Watching everything unfold, knowing you can't do a thing about it?"

The Unseen, formerly known as Nick Fury, remained silent, his lone glowing eye fixed on Aeternus. A few moments passed before he finally spoke, his voice calm yet wary.

"What do you want from me?"

Aeternus didn't respond immediately. Instead, he strode past Fury, stopping a few meters away to gaze up at the endless stars above. After a brief pause, he finally answered.

"I need directions to certain places… and your cosmic awareness will provide them."

Nick Fury or the unseen [Author note: F#$k it im sticking with Nick fury] didn't answer right away. He continues to observe Aeternus before speaking the obvious questions.

"Why would you need my help? Because i witnessed you have the ability to copy powers like how you toyed with the inhumans by using black bolt's and Daisy Johnson powers.

Aren't you also from a different reality that you told Earth's heroes your reality is similar to this one?"

'For fuck sake, can't I just get some directions instead of you forcing my 402 iq to make up some bullshit explanations?!

Sigh, now I understand why Joseph from jojo bizarre adventure eyes of heaven feels, being forced by Jotaro to give explanations to the other JoJo's and jobros.'

Aeternus didn't say that out loud, but Nick Fury did bring up important questions for him.

Aeternus' Inner Monologue:

Aeternus didn't say that out loud, but Nick Fury did bring up important questions for him.

Why did he need directions when he could just use Divine Reflection to copy Nick fury cosmic awareness just like he had done with Black Bolt's power? It should be simple, right? See it, understand it and use it. That was how Adam had fought against Zeus in Record of Ragnarok, countering his every move with pure instinct.

But deep down, Aeternus wasn't sure it would work.

In his past life as John Hunter, him and his friends were chatting in Discord had debated this exact thing was Divine Reflection truly unlimited, or was it bound by some kind of natural law?

After all, Adam had only ever fought earthly gods like Zeus. His Divine Reflection had countered godly techniques, but they were still techniques tied to Earth's divine system. That raised a troubling question

Would it work on something beyond Earth's gods? Would it work on cosmic beings?

Marvel's power system was fundamentally different.

Like take Dragon Ball for example, Supreme Kais could observe entire galaxies, but they still needed a crystal ball to do it.

If they truly had omniscient cosmic awareness, they wouldn't need external tools to perceive the universe. That meant even the gods of creation had limits.

If even they couldn't just instinctively know everything, what made Aeternus think he could simply "copy" cosmic perception and be done with it?

No, it wasn't that easy. He needed a foundation. He needed time. Maybe with Ultimate Kars' adaptability, Zamasu's divine essence in his armor bound to his soul and the right power sources, he could evolve something similar to cosmic awareness.

But until then?

He needed directions for places he needed to go.

Aeternus let the silence stretch, his gaze never leaving the stars until he glance at Fury's single glowing eye. He knew what the former director was thinking, why ask for guidance when he had already demonstrated the ability to copy powers? Why not simply take what he needed, as he had done before?

So Aeternus Vortigern begin to speak his best God Emperor character and made up explanation to answer his questions.

"I'll answer your 2 questions. One, do you want to know why I don't just copy your power?" Aeternus finally spoke, his tone calm but firm. "Because there's a difference between power and cosmic authority."

He took a slow step forward to Nick Fury. "The powers of mortals, even gods bound to a single world, are just extensions of laws. Strength, speed, destruction that can be quantified, copied, replicated.

But cosmic power? That isn't just something they can instantly get. It's presence. It's the ability to be above."

He gestured at the endless stars. "A god of a planet is still a product of that world. Tied to its life, its rules and its people worshiping them. But cosmic power belongs to something greater something that exists outside of individual realm.

It's the difference between ruling a kingdom and shaping the very stars it sits beneath. Between wielding a sword and deciding whether the concept of the sword should even exist.

If I tried to copy your stolen cosmic awareness as I did Black Bolt's power, I would not gain insight. I would gain nothing. No Knowledge to understand, vision without perception."

He looks down to Nick Fury one more time and continues to speak.

"Two,Yes I told the heroes of this Earth that my reality is similar to this one. But similarity is not the same as certainty.

Just because events, people, and histories might align in some ways doesn't mean I can assume everything is identical."

He took a step forward, Showing his dominance the old man.

"I don't know if the planets in this universe rests where it did in mine. I don't know if the stars are mapped the same way, if the 10 realms are positioned as I remember them. I might have once been able to reach those places instinctively in my own reality, but here? I'd be blindly moving through unknown space, like a blind person alone sailing the seas to find land."

Aeternus turned his gaze skyward, toward the endless expanse of the cosmos.

"Tell me, Unseen, how many have been lost in the void simply because they assumed they knew the way? How many have perished because they let their arrogance override their need for certainty?"

He let that question settle before continuing, his tone unwavering.

"You were a man of intelligence, once. A strategist. You should understand why I don't rely on assumptions. I could leap blindly, or I could ensure my next step lands exactly where it needs to. That's why I require your insight. Your cosmic awareness is my certainty."

He glance back to Fury, his voice steady and resolute.

"So, are you going to waste more time questioning me, or are you going to give me what I need?"

After a few moments Nick fury finally speaks.

what do I get for giving you directions?" Fury His voice calm but edged with the weight of someone who had long since stopped believing in altruism.

Aeternus let out a quiet breath, as if he had expected this. He looked back at Fury, his expression firm.

"Terra will be safe, I won't allow harm to come to it and not from me, not from anyone who seeks to take advantage of what I do next."

Aeternus noticed the brief flicker of confusion in Fury's eyes when he mentioned Terra. He sighed, realizing his slip.

"Right… you call it Earth here. In my reality, it's known as Terra, a different name, but the same world at its core.

The birthplace of humanity, the center of civilization. No matter the reality, it always seems to hold a significance that others fail to understand."

Fury remained silent, but his sharp gaze made it clear he was listening.

"I've seen what happens when threats beyond understanding come for the world My brothers and sisters once called home. My Terra fell because I wasn't fast enough to stop the Necrons destroying Terra during my time battling an Alien race called Tyranits attacking all life in different planets i swore to protect as leader of the Coalition of Galaxies.

I won't make that mistake again."

He turned back to Fury, his expression unreadable.

"I may not be from this version of reality, but that doesn't change my resolve. This Earth, your Earth, still needs someone to protect it. If that means I have to find my way through unfamiliar territory, so be it."

Fury narrowed his eyes slightly. "So you're saying you'll protect this world out of duty? Or is it guilt?"

Aeternus exhaled, shaking his head. "Does it matter? My reasons are my own. What matters is that I won't let another Terra fall."

Sure most of the explanation he made up wasn't true, but in reality, he already seen what happens to everyone in the comics from his past life as John Hunter and always wondered can't the universe have peace.

Because once he train to grow stronger and master his powers, he promise that there will be no more problems for Terra and the planets anymore.

Just peace and utopia, even if he becomes an enemy to the cosmic entities, so be it.

But first, he needs to build an empire and have powerful warriors to support him.

Fury studied Aeternus for a moment before giving a slow nod.

"Alright," he said. "Let's see if you can back up those words."

That's what Aeternus wants to hear, so he began asking Directions for the places he wants to go and tell him stories of the Tyranits and their adaptability. because Aeternus already sensed there was something watching them when he came to the moon.

He wanted to talked about that so the Heroes won't keep asking him about him and his reality he perfectly made up.

After 30 minutes of talking, Aeternus swing his sword to create a portal as it crackled with energy, he took a step forward, then hesitated, glancing back at Nick Fury.

"Oh, before I go… you ever wonder if you have a son in this reality?"

Fury's eye narrowed. "What the hell are you talking about?"

Aeternus smirked but can't be seen since he's wearing a helmet.

"Marcus. Marcus Johnson. Or maybe here, he goes by Nick Fury Jr.?"

Fury's expression didn't change, but Aeternus could tell he struck a nerve.

"In my reality, you had a son. Maybe you do here too, maybe you don't. But if he's out there, I imagine he's inherited some of your paranoia, maybe even your old job one day."

Aeternus mentally chuckled. 'Poor guy.'

He steps in the portal and completely vanishes leaving Nick Fury to his thoughts and a drone that was made by Tony stark listening the whole thing.
