Chapter 136 - A Little Hellish

Cassius didn't look at her. His fingers curled tighter around the hilt of his sword, and the air around him trembled ever so slightly with the pressure of held back rage.

"I don't need her pity," he said, his voice low. "I need her alive."

He exhaled sharply, a hiss of breath through clenched teeth as he looked at the building. If he destroys the basement the humans above would be in danger of death by crushing underneath the stone pillars. Meanwhile, there's still Arabella's savior and she wouldn't be very happy knowing he had partaken in her death.

That being said he wasn't so calm either that he could fully control all his emotions. Anger was always an Achilles heels to him, specially now when he felt it more intensely than ever.

He let out a brief sigh, looking at the ceiling for a moment as he shut his red eyes. "Damn it I was bred to kill, not to protect. Mercy was something my mother forbid me to learn."
