3 am.
"You're leaving…" Quinn mumbled, her voice hoarse and groggy with sleep, her eyes still shut as she felt the moisture on her forehead where the man had planted a kiss.
"I will come back tonight," he responded, making sure to be silent as possible lest she became greatly disturbed. "Sleep well."
"Uh, see you tonight." She buried her face back into the pillow. If only she had known… maybe she would have taken one last glance at him.
Within a second, the man had disappeared from the room.
Quinn wasn't able to get even an hour of sleep when the sound of an engine in the garage jolted her awake. Her calm eyes instantly shone with a hint of ferocity.
She got up, brushed her hair properly before the mirror, rearranged her nightgown, and walked out of the room.
Laughter and giggles echoed through the house.
The once silent home had now become lively.
Well, it was never anything good.
Somehow, her husband's happiness has now become her nightmare.
