Wanxin hastily set the data on her computer and, amidst her colleagues' teasing glances, pushed open the door to Chen Lei's office.
"Boss, what's up?"
Wanxin sat upright and attentive like a well-behaved primary school student. Chen Lei looked at her with a complex expression and asked, "Do you know someone at GE?"
"Ah, yes, I do." Wanxin nodded. "I spent two years at GE."
"Why didn't I hear you mention this before?"
"You never asked me about it before." Wanxin wore an innocent face. "Besides, mentioning it doesn't get me a raise, so why would I tell you?"
Chen Lei was at a loss whether to laugh or cry; he had received several phone calls that morning inquiring about Wanxin.
