The temple was silent, and Ares was uncertain whether he would find any living creatures here.
Most of the marble floor was overgrown with thick pink miniature tulips, mixed with magical grass, and the rich scent of damp earth filled the air.
"I've always loved the smell of wet earth after the rain. Just like this. What about you, Your Majesty?" V asked curiously. She still knew so little about Ares—simple things like his hobbies, favorite foods, or what he despised remained a mystery to her.
