Chapter 152 - The Hidden waterfall cave's Secret End

As the sun shone through the cave entrance, I sat beside Father, watching him rest. Mother and my siblings returned from the river, their claws laden with fresh fish. The aroma of cooking fish filled the cave, and Father's stomach growled in anticipation.

Mother smiled, "Dinner will be ready soon. Let's get the fish cooked." Father's eyes lit up, and he offered to help with cooking. Together, they prepared a delicious meal, and we all gathered around to enjoy the fresh catch.

As we ate, Father told stories of his own hunting days, and we listened with wide eyes. The warmth and laughter around the dinner table made the meal even more special. After dinner, we relaxed, feeling content and full.

Father leaned back, his belly satisfied, and said, "These are the moments I cherish most – family, food, and love." Mother nuzzled him, and we all smiled, feeling grateful for our little dragon family.

With full bellies and happy hearts, we settled in for a peaceful night's rest, the sound of Father's gentle snores lulling us to sleep.

I went towards Father, and he lay down belly first and unfolded his wing and wrapped around me, and I went to sleep.

As I nestled beside Father, he instinctively wrapped his wing around me, a familiar gesture that brought me comfort and security. It was a habit formed over the years, one that dated back to my earliest days as a hatchling. Whenever I felt anxious or scared, Father's wing was there to envelop me in warmth and safety.

I smiled, feeling the familiar sense of calm wash over me as I leaned into his wing. It was a feeling I'd grown accustomed to, one that reminded me of the unconditional love and protection Father provided.

With a contented sigh, I drifted off to sleep, surrounded by Father's warmth and the sound of his gentle breathing.

As I wake up and morning rise, I jab father side.

Father stirred, chuckling as he felt the gentle jab to his side. "Good morning, Tharros," he rumbled, his deep voice vibrating through the cave. "Time to wake up, I see." He smiled, wrapping his wing around me in a gentle squeeze before releasing me to stretch and shake off the slumber. "Let's go find Mother and see what the day has in store for us," he suggested, his eyes twinkling with excitement.

As Father stood up, I followed him, and we walked towards the cave entrance, searching for Mother. The morning sunlight illuminated the landscape, casting a warm glow over the terrain. Father's massive strides carried him quickly across the ground, and I trotted alongside him, eager to see what the day would bring.

Suddenly, a loud thunder can be heard, and my wolf-fox ears ringing, and I ran and clinging on Father's right front leg in fear and frightened by the loud sound.

Father's expression softened as he felt me cling to his leg, and he gently wrapped his wing around me to shield me from the loud thunder. "It's okay, Tharros," he soothed, his deep voice calm and reassuring. "The storm will pass soon. You're safe with me."

He stood still, protecting me from the noise and chaos outside, his presence a comforting refuge from the turmoil of the thunder. The storm raged on outside, but beneath Father's wing, I felt a sense of safety and security.

I slowly calm down but still grip on Father's right front leg.

Father gently shifted his weight, adjusting his stance to accommodate me still clinging to his leg. He watched the storm with a calm demeanor, his eyes fixed on the dark clouds as the thunder continued to rumble outside. His wing remained wrapped around me, providing a warm and protective space for me to ride out the storm.

As the thunder gradually grew fainter, Father's wing relaxed slightly, and he looked down at me with a gentle smile. "It's passing, Tharros. You're doing great." He nudged me gently with his snout, reassuring me that everything was okay.

My wolf-fox ears were folded back the whole time and still folded back.

Father noticed my ears still folded back, a sign that I was still a bit shaken by the storm. He gently nudged my head with his snout, trying to comfort me further. "It's okay, little one," he whispered softly. "The storm has almost passed. You're safe."

He stood patiently, letting me take my time to feel secure again, his wing still wrapped protectively around me. As the last rumbles of thunder faded away, Father's gentle presence helped me slowly relax, and I began to unfold my ears, still listening intently to the now peaceful surroundings.

My wolf-fox ears go back to perked up again, and Father smiled.

Father's smile broadened as he saw my ears perk up again, a sign that I was feeling more like myself. He gently unwrapped his wing from around me, and I released my grip on his leg. "All better?" he asked, his voice full of warmth.

I nodded, and Father chuckled, nudging me playfully with his snout. "Let's go find Mother," he suggested, and together we stepped out into the calm after the storm, the fresh air and sunshine a welcome change after the turbulent weather.

As we walked, the warm sunlight on our scales was a soothing balm after the storm's wild energy. Father's massive strides ate up the distance, and I trotted alongside him, feeling the gentle breeze rustling my fur.

We crested a small hill, and there was Mother, perched on a rocky outcropping, her wings spread wide as she basked in the sun's warmth. She smiled as she saw us approaching, her eyes shining with affection.

"Ah, perfect timing," she said, folding her wings as we drew near. "The storm has cleared the skies, and the world feels fresh and new." She nuzzled Father's cheek, and then turned to me, giving me a gentle head-butt. "And how's my little Tharros doing after that loud thunder?"

I leaned into her touch, feeling grateful for the warmth and love of my family. Father wrapped a gentle claw around both of us, pulling us close in a family hug. "We're all good now," he rumbled contentedly. "The storm may have been loud, but it's also brought us closer together."

Father looked at me and my wolf-fox ears and said, "You can imagine how loud it was for his ears to hear that loud thunder!" He giggled.

Mother chuckled, her eyes sparkling with amusement as she looked at me. "Yes, I can imagine," she said, smiling. "Your wolf-fox ears are quite sensitive, aren't they, Tharros?" She gently nudged my ears with her snout, and I twitched them playfully.

Father and Mother shared a warm glance, both of them enjoying the special bond they shared with me. "Well, at least you're safe with us," Father said, his voice filled with love and reassurance. "We'll always be here to protect you from loud noises and anything else that might scare you."

I smiled and waged my tail mother nuzzled me, and she flew down the mountain, and I looked at Father, still wagging my tail.

Father smiled, watching Mother soar through the skies, her wings beating powerful and free. "Want to go after her?" he asked, his eyes twinkling with excitement.

I wagged my tail more enthusiastically, and Father chuckled. "Alright then, let's go!" He crouched down, and I scampered onto his back, holding tight as he spread his wings and launched us into the sky.

The wind rushed past us as we followed Mother, the mountain scenery unfolding below us like a breathtaking tapestry. I felt exhilarated, the thrill of flight and the joy of being with my family combining into an unforgettable experience.

As we flew, the rush of wind whipped through my hair, and I laughed with sheer joy, feeling the sun's warm rays on my face. Father's powerful wings beat steadily, and I held tight, taking in the stunning view of the mountains and valleys below.

We caught up to Mother, and she smiled, flying alongside us. Together, the three of us soared through the sky, the wind rushing past us in a thrilling roar. I felt free and alive, with my family by my side.

As we flew over a sparkling lake, Father banked and dove, and I squealed with delight. Mother followed, and we played a game of aerial tag, chasing each other through the skies. The thrill of the chase left me breathless and grinning from ear to ear.

Eventually, we landed on a grassy hillside, and Father nudged me gently. "Having fun, Tharros?" he asked, his eyes shining with amusement.

I nodded, still grinning. "That was amazing! Can we do it again?"

Mother chuckled. "Maybe later, little one. First, let's go find your siblings and see what kind of trouble they're getting into."

I looked at Father with sparkling eyes, still buzzing from the excitement of our aerial adventure. "Yeah, let's go find them!" I exclaimed, eager to see what kind of mischief my siblings were up to.

Father chuckled and nudged me gently, and we took to the skies once more, flying over the rolling hills and valleys in search of my siblings. As we flew, I scanned the landscape below, looking for any sign of Lyriath, Vyraxys, Nyxoria, Lyrixa, Kaidorix, Kieraxys, and Niamon.

After a while, we spotted a cluster of colorful shapes gathered near a sparkling waterfall. As we drew closer, I recognized the distinctive scales of my siblings. Lyriath's navy blue and red scales glistened in the sunlight, while Vyraxys's dark bronze scales seemed to absorb the light around him.

Nyxoria's amethyst scales sparkled like gemstones, and Lyrixa's rose gold scales shone with a warm, golden light. Kaidorix's forest green scales blended in with the surrounding foliage, while Kieraxys's copper scales glowed with a reddish hue. And Niamon's lavender scales seemed to glow with an soft, ethereal light.

"Looks like they're having a blast," Father said, smiling as we watched my siblings playing and laughing together.

Mother nodded, her eyes shining with warmth. "Let's go join them and see what kind of adventure they're having."

We flew down to join my siblings, and as we landed, they turned to us with big smiles on their faces. "Hey, Tharros! Hey, Father! Hey, Mother!" they chorused, excited to see us.

I grinned, happy to be reunited with my siblings. "What are you guys doing?" I asked, curious about their activities.

Lyriath, always the adventurous one, spoke up. "We were just exploring the waterfall! We found a hidden cave behind it, and we're going to check it out."

Vyraxys's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Yeah, and we might find treasure!"

I looked at Father and Mother, and they exchanged a knowing glance. "Well, let's go take a look," Father said, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

And with that, we set off on a new adventure, exploring the hidden cave and seeing what secrets it held.

As we followed Lyriath and Vyraxys into the hidden cave, the sound of rushing water grew louder, and the air grew cooler. The cave was dark, but our dragon eyes adjusted quickly, and we saw the glittering crystals embedded in the walls. Niamon, always fascinated by shiny things, reached out to touch the crystals, and Kieraxys giggled as he watched her try to catch the reflections.

"Wow, look at this!" Nyxoria exclaimed, her amethyst scales glowing softly in the dim light. She was examining a small pool of water that reflected the crystals above.

Lyrixa peered into the pool, her rose gold scales catching the faint light. "It's like a mirror," she said, mesmerized.

Kaidorix, meanwhile, was exploring a narrow passageway, his forest green scales blending in with the shadows. "I think I found a way deeper into the cave," he called out, his voice echoing off the walls.

Father and Mother watched over us, their eyes shining with warmth as they let us explore and discover the wonders of the cave. I followed Lyriath and Vyraxys, my heart pounding with excitement as we ventured deeper into the unknown.

As we explored, we stumbled upon ancient symbols etched into the walls. Lyriath, being the most knowledgeable about such things, examined them closely. "These look like an ancient language," he said, his navy blue and red scales glistening in the faint light.

Vyraxys's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "What do they mean?"

Lyriath's brow furrowed as he studied the symbols. "I'm not sure, but I think they might be a map or a clue to something bigger."

Father's eyes lit up with interest. "Let's take a closer look," he said, and together, we examined the symbols, trying to decipher their secrets.

Father took a closer look at the symbols, then glanced at us, and looked back at the symbols again. His expression changed from intrigue to amusement to worried to concern and to sadness and he look at us and look outside and thought for a moment. [1]

"It's nothing at all! Just some random text about when humans were everywhere before they were nearly extinct more than 100 years ago—before I hatched, whatever," he said with a chuckle.

He sat down in a relaxed position, his albino scales glowing softly in the dim light of the cave. "So, I'll be here if you need me," he added, his eyes twinkling with a mix of amusement and affection.

With that, Father settled in, letting us continue our exploration while he kept a watchful eye on us. The cave, once full of mystery and excitement, now seemed to hold more wonder for us to discover on our own.

With Father settled in, we siblings exchanged grins, eager to continue our adventure. Lyriath, still curious about the symbols, decided to take a closer look, while Vyraxys and I started exploring a nearby passageway. Nyxoria and Lyrixa began to play a game of hide-and-seek among the rocks, their laughter echoing off the cave walls. Kaidorix wandered off, examining the cave's unique formations, and Kieraxys chased after Niamon, who was toddling around, fascinated by the glittering crystals.

As we played and explored, the cave became a world of our own, full of wonder and excitement. Father watched over us, a gentle smile on his face, happy to see us having so much fun together. The sound of our laughter and playful shouts filled the cave, creating a joyful atmosphere that would stay with us long after we left.

After a while, we all gathered back together, tired but happy from our adventure. "Ready to head back?" Father asked, his eyes sparkling with warmth.

We nodded, and with one last look at the cave, we followed Father and Mother out into the bright sunlight, the memory of our adventure already becoming a cherished tale to share with each other.

As we emerged from the cave, the warm sunlight felt wonderful on our scales, and we blinked in the bright light. Mother smiled, her light green scales glistening in the sun.

"Let's head back home," she said, "I'm sure Grandmother Lyraea would love to hear all about our adventure."

We nodded, and with Father leading the way, we took to the skies, soaring over the landscape in a joyful formation. The wind rushed past us, and we felt free and exhilarated, our spirits lifted by the adventure and each other's company.

As we flew, we chattered excitedly about our discoveries and the fun we'd had. Lyriath regaled us with tales of the symbols he'd examined, while Vyraxys described the thrilling moments he'd shared with me in the passageway. Nyxoria and Lyrixa giggled about their game of hide-and-seek, and Kaidorix shared his findings about the cave's unique formations.

Kieraxys, still bubbling with energy, chased after Niamon, who squealed with delight as she tried to evade her brother's playful attempts to catch her. Father and Mother watched over us, their eyes shining with warmth and happiness as they saw us enjoying each other's company.

After a while, we spotted our home in the distance, and our excitement grew. We landed with a flourish, our scales glinting in the sunlight.

Grandmother Lyraea greeted us warmly, her eyes sparkling with interest. "Tell me all about your adventure," she said, her voice full of warmth.

We settled in, eager to share the tales of our exciting day. Lyriath began, "Well, Grandmother Lyraea, we found this amazing cave behind the waterfall..."

Vyraxys chimed in, "And we saw these really cool symbols etched into the wall!"

Nyxoria and Lyrixa giggled, "And we played hide-and-seek among the rocks!"

Kaidorix added, "I found some really interesting formations in the cave. I think they might be crystals."

Kieraxys exclaimed, "And I chased Niamon around the cave! She's so fast!"

Niamon squealed with delight, "I was not fast enough! Kieraxys caught me!"

Grandmother Lyraea listened with a warm smile, her eyes shining with delight. "That sounds like quite the adventure," she said. "I'm so glad you all had a chance to explore together."

We continued to share our stories, our voices overlapping as we recounted the wonders we'd discovered in the hidden cave. Grandmother Lyraea listened attentively, asking questions and making thoughtful comments.

As we finished our stories, Mother and Father smiled at each other, happy to see us bonding with Grandmother Lyraea. We all felt grateful for the love and support of our family, and we knew that this adventure would be a memory we'd cherish for a long time.

Father question "hello mother but what are you doing here? I didn't get any massage from you about coming here!" And grandmother answered.

Grandmother Lyraea chuckled, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "Ah, dear son," she said, addressing Father, "I think your mate might have just dropped by for a surprise visit. Perhaps she wanted to spend some time with her family without prior notice."

She smiled warmly at Mother. "It's lovely to see you, dear. We don't get enough visits from you, and the young ones would love to spend more time with you."

Grandmother Lyraea's gaze turned to us siblings. "Now, tell me more about this adventure of yours. What have you been up to?"

I looked at my siblings, and we all began to excitedly recount our tale of discovery and fun in the hidden cave, eager to share our experiences with Grandmother Lyraea.

I looked at grandmother lyraea and spoke, "We found some symbols and ancient languages, and Father took a closer look, but he only said this! 'It's nothing at all! Just some random text about when humans were everywhere before they were nearly extinct more than 100 years ago—before I hatched, whatever' and didn't explain it!" Father than back away and flew off.

Grandmother Lyraea's expression turned thoughtful as she listened to my account. She glanced at Father, who was now sitting at a distance, watching us with a hint of a smile.

"Ah, Aetherius," she said, her voice gentle but inquiring. "It seems you've left the young ones curious about the symbols. Care to explain why you didn't elaborate on the discovery?"

Father's smile didn't waver, but he seemed to consider his response before speaking. "Well, Mother, I didn't see the point in dwelling on it. It's just an old human text, after all. The young ones have more important things to learn and explore."

Grandmother Lyraea's eyes sparkled with interest. "Even so, knowledge is always worth sharing. Perhaps we could take a look at the symbols together, and I could provide some insight."

Father chuckled and held up his hands in a playful gesture of surrender. "Alright, alright, Mother. I think I'll leave the explaining to you. You seem more interested in sharing the details anyway."

With that, he turned and launched himself into a powerful sprint, his albino scales glistening in the sunlight. He burst into a magnificent display of speed and agility, his wings unfolding from his back as he gained momentum. In a flash, he took to the skies, soaring away into the distance with a joyful roar, his figure dwindling rapidly as he vanished into the horizon.

Grandmother Lyraea watched him go with a warm smile. "I would if I know what it is and where it is, and do you little ones know where it is?" All my siblings shook their head.

I looked at grandmother lyraea and said, "Well, we found it from inside the waterfall but forgot where it is!"

Grandmother Lyraea's warm smile turned into a gentle laugh. "Ah, well, I'm sure we'll find it again. After all, you young ones have a keen sense of adventure. Let's see...inside the waterfall, you say? That's a good starting point."

She looked at us thoughtfully. "Perhaps we can fly over the area together and see if we can spot the waterfall. With a bit of luck, we might even find the symbols again."

Her eyes sparkled with excitement. "Who's up for a flying adventure?"

I look at my siblings, and they seem to not want to go to another adventure and we know it will take so long to find the right waterfall, and I don't want to go another adventure.

I looked at my siblings, and they seemed unenthused about the prospect of another adventure. I couldn't blame them; finding the right waterfall could take a long time, and we were all still basking in the excitement of our previous discovery.

"Grandmother Lyraea, maybe we could try to remember more details about the waterfall?" I suggested. "If we think really hard, we might recall something that could help us find it again."

I glanced at my siblings, hoping they would agree with me. "We don't want to trouble you, Grandmother. Maybe we can just try to remember on our own?"

Grandmother Lyraea nodded thoughtfully, her expression understanding. "Very well, young ones. Try to remember as much as you can about the waterfall. Perhaps something will trigger your memories, and we can find the symbols again."

She smiled warmly at us. "In the meantime, why don't we have a nice meal together? I'm sure your mother has prepared something delicious."

We all nodded in agreement, happy to spend quality time with our family and enjoy a meal together. As we sat down to eat, I couldn't help but think about the symbols and the waterfall, wondering if we would ever find them again.

As time passed and we couldn't find the waterfall that we were looking for so we headed back, and Grandmother lyraea was getting ready to leave.

Father nuzzled grandmother lyraea and said, "See you later, Mother, and say hi Father to me!"

Grandmother Lyraea smiled and nuzzled Father back. "I'll pass along your greetings, dear son. Take care of the young ones and your mate. I'll visit again soon."

With that, she spread her wings and took to the skies, soaring away into the distance. We watched her go, waving goodbye as she disappeared into the horizon.

Father turned to us, his eyes warm. "Well, young ones, it's been a busy day. Time for some rest, I think." He smiled, and we all nodded in agreement, already feeling the weariness of our adventure.

I yawned, feeling the weight of the day's excitement catching up to me. Father smiled and wrapped his wing around me, pulling me close. "Time for bed, little one," he whispered, his warm breath rustling my scales.

I snuggled into the familiar warmth of his wing, feeling safe and protected. My siblings settled in around us, their soft murmurs and rustling scales a soothing background noise.

As I drifted off to sleep, I felt Father's gentle nuzzle on my forehead. "Sleep tight, Tharros," he whispered. I smiled, already half asleep, knowing I was safe under his wing.

As I drifted off to sleep, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. The warmth of Father's wing, the gentle sound of my siblings' breathing, and the soothing rhythm of his heartbeat all combined to lull me into a deep slumber.

The last thing I remembered was Father's soft voice whispering, "I love you, Tharros." I smiled, feeling safe and loved, and let the darkness take me.

And so, another day came to a close in our little dragon family, filled with adventure, love, and warmth.
