Gardevoir, the so-called "Wife Pokémon" (not really).
---
Gardevoir's appearance is strikingly human-like. Its green, wavy hair cascades down, partially covering its face, and extending to its lower jaw. The flowing white "gown" it wears, which exudes an air of elegance, is actually part of its body. A red structure on both the front and back of its chest is said to represent its embodied heart.
With its human-like features and beauty aligned with human aesthetics, Gardevoir had always been widely beloved by players before Victor's journey to this world. It was even affectionately nicknamed the "Wife Pokémon."
After arriving in this parallel world, Victor discovered that many trainers had taken this admiration to a whole new level. During one late-night internet search, he stumbled upon multiple examples of trainers marrying their Gardevoirs.
Out of curiosity, Victor once attended a wedding in celestial with some classmates. The ceremony featured a programmer and his Gardevoir. When the Gardevoir appeared in a pure white wedding dress, it was undeniably beautiful.
However, Victor's curiosity turned to shock when he habitually opened his data scanner and checked its stats.

Victor froze.
"Does he not know Gardevoir's gender? Or... does he know and doesn't care?"
Victor shuddered at the thought, his mind spiraling. He couldn't bear it any longer and fled the scene, ignoring his classmates' protests. He feared staying might make his head explode.
---
Back in the Lost Forest, Victor turned his focus to the task at hand. Gallade, using psychic communication, summoned a Gardevoir. Moments later, the Pokémon appeared before Victor via teleportation.
This Gardevoir was not the same male Gardevoir Victor had worked with during the rescue.
The male Gardevoir was currently stationed in a cave on the island, alongside Alakazam and several other Psychic-types, guarding Ric and Flair . Those two humans, who had stolen baby Pokémon, were despised by the Pokémon, who provided them with only the bare minimum food needed to survive. They remained under constant hypnosis, awaiting Latios and Latias's return to pass judgment.
---
After encountering two Gardevoirs of different genders in such a short time, Victor noticed distinct differences between male and female Gardevoirs.
The male Gardevoir who assisted in the rescue had a more carefree and laid-back demeanor, while the female Gardevoir, tasked with teaching Carbink how to hone his psychic abilities, exuded elegance and nobility in every move she made.
Pokémon: Gardevoir
Type: [Psychic + Fairy]
Gender: [♀]
Ability: [Telepathy]
Level: [60]
This Gardevoir had just reached the Gym-level tier. Victor motioned for Carbink to step forward and communicate with her. For teaching to be effective, direct communication between teacher and student was essential.
"Sha-nai."
"Na na~"
"Sa-nai… Sanae!"
"Na na!"
After the exchange between the two Pokémon, Victor could sense that this Gardevoir was quite skilled.
Gardevoir explained that she wanted to observe Carbink's proficiency in psychic abilities to create an effective training plan.
Carbink, eager to demonstrate her abilities, stated that, aside from using psychic moves, she could now lift herself into the air with her telekinesis.
She then attempted to do so, rising unsteadily as her psychic power wavered. Her body swayed precariously, showing her lack of control.
Gardevoir's beautiful ruby-red eyes lit up as she observed. She stabilized Carbink's swaying body with a precise telekinetic grip. Gardevoir remarked that while Carbink had ample mental power reserves, her control over it was primitive—akin to the difference between a modern cannon and a Stone Age weapon.
She then revealed to Victor that she specialized in teaching young Pokémon within her tribe to master psychic abilities. To repay Victor for saving one of her students, she pledged to teach Carbink everything she knew, ensuring that Carbink could fully control her psychic powers.
Confident in Gardevoir's abilities, Victor decided not to linger.
He left enough energy cubes to sustain Carbink for a week and prepared small gifts as tokens of appreciation for Gardevoir and Gallade, who had helped facilitate the arrangement.
Victor's thoughtful gestures left a strong positive impression on both Gardevoir and Gallade, further solidifying their goodwill toward him.
Rejecting Gallade, who enthusiastically offered to guide them, Victor carried the fish tank holding Feebas. Following him was Incineroar, much taller than the average of its kind, standing at an impressive 2 meters. They headed toward the heart of the Lost Light Forest, home to the Hatterene clan.
As Pokémon highly attuned to emotions, Hatterene could often sense the feelings of creatures within several kilometers. When a Hatterene gigantamaxed, this range could extend to a terrifying 50 kilometers.
While Hatterene were masters of manipulating emotions, their own moods were volatile, making them aggressive Pokémon in the wild.
Thanks to the lingering imprints of Latios and Latias on his body and the bond between Feebas and the rescued Hatenna, Victor was confident enough to decline Gallade's escort. He believed Hatterene wouldn't attack them.
---
As they moved deeper past the Gardevoir family's territory, the once-luminous Lost Light Forest grew darker.
Only clusters of magical, large mushrooms along the path provided some light, emitting a soft, colorful glow.
Despite the dim surroundings, Victor refrained from using Incineroar's flames or a flashlight. Hatterene, being territorial Pokémon, disliked foreign elements disrupting their domain. Since Victor came with a request, he avoided anything that might upset Hatterene.
After about ten minutes of walking through the shadowy forest, they reached a clearing where glowing mushrooms clustered together.
Several Hatenna and Hattrem played among the tall mushrooms, while the Hatterene Victor sought sat at a small round table. She sipped from a cup of an unknown beverage, her black-and-white eyes filled with warmth as she watched the playful Pokémon.
Hatterene were exclusively female and resembled elegant human women, adorned with tentacle-like hair flowing from their wide-brimmed hat.
"Lim~"
[Good afternoon, human carrying the aura of two great ones. What brings you here?]
Hatterene sensed Victor and his group before they approached, her tentacles swaying slightly. She seemed to be in a good mood.
"Uluru~"
[Good afternoon, Sister Hatterene!]
Feebas jumped excitedly in her tank, eager to make her presence known.
"Lim~"
[Greetings, Miss Feebas.]
Hatterene's demeanor was that of a refined lady, but Victor was well aware of her terrifying power. When angered, her braid-like tentacles, infused with psychic energy, could mercilessly tear her enemies apart.
Without unnecessary pleasantries, Victor went straight to the point, stating his purpose for the visit.
