Chapter 12 - Training and Growth

However, societal biases against lower-class individuals still exist despite this system.

That was the general overview of magic in this world.

Oh, and one more important thing—humans can only have a maximum of two magic elements.

Most people only have one, so those with two are considered rare.

If they also have high magic power, they become even more valuable.

Since I was able to use fire earlier, does that mean Fire is one of my magic elements?

Curious, Rafayel asked, "Is my magic element Fire?"

Tama smiled gently. "It's too early to say for sure. Young Master Rafayel has only just started using magic. Almost everyone can use basic magic, so even if you can use Fire magic, that doesn't necessarily mean it's your primary element. For example, even those with Fire affinity can create small amounts of water or generate a breeze. We will need to train and test your abilities to determine your true strengths."

I see… So it's not confirmed yet.

That means I need to train more and raise my abilities!

Rafayel said, "I'll do my best!"

Tama smiled warmly. "I will assist you as much as I can."

After that, she revealed that her own magic affinity was Water.

To demonstrate, she created a small fountain before his eyes and even sculpted an intricate ice figure using her magic.

Rafayel watched in awe, realizing just how much he still had to learn.

...

Three years had passed since Rafayel first used magic, and he was now approaching his fifth birthday.

When his older siblings heard about his magical abilities, their reactions were the same as their father's.

They called him a genius and even wanted to throw a party in his honor.

Thankfully, their mother and Tama managed to put a stop to that.

From that day on, under Tama's guidance, Rafayel dedicated himself to training to improve his magical abilities.

His daily routine consisted of practicing walking, reading and writing, and magic training.

He quickly mastered walking, and reading came to him naturally without much effort.

However, writing was a struggle, so he worked hard to improve it.

"As expected of Young Master Rafayel. You learn so quickly that there is hardly anything left for me to teach you," Tama said, impressed.

"That's not true. Thank you for always helping me, Tama," Rafayel replied.

Hearing this, Tama was moved to the point of tears. "Young Master Rafayel, you are growing up so wonderfully…"

I can't let this praise get to my head—it would only cause problems later.

Besides, my goal is to become strong enough to join the knight order!

Then I'll be able to witness real-life BL interactions with my own eyes!

"Shall we take a short break? I will prepare some tea. Please rest on the sofa while you wait," Tama said before leaving the room.

Whew… Pretending not to know how to read and write is exhausting.

Since I end up understanding everything anyway, I can't even tell which parts are supposed to be difficult.
