As Marco was shooting towards him he started seeing some specs flying behind him. As he focused more power into his eyes he was shocked.
A flock of around 300 sphinx was chasing Marco like he was their mortal enemy. After a second Marco and Cerbi arrived before dropping their spoils.
As Marco was clapping his hands in satisfaction he smirked at Cerbi. Why? Simply because he procured more food, after giving him a smug look Marco faced the flock of sphinx.
Power erupted from his every pore, as a mountain of corpses started stretching up towards his right arm the sphinx felt something was wrong.
As the corpses grabbed Marco's hand for dear life the pressure his existence expelled was crushing, even at a comparable distance the flock felt that they would die in an instant if they made the wrong move.
Seeing the flock tense up Marco smirk stretch and distorted. Slowly something nightmarish was before them holding a scythe that was grinding with the shouts of souls that sounded like they were being eviscerated.
Frankly that sight scared the flock, making a quick choice the flock leader commanded all to retreat. It would buy his kin some time no matter the cost, as it charged towards Marco intending to take him down with him.
As it charged, Marco simply raised his scythe. With extremely unhealthy excited he swung down, the world suddenly froze.
Everything running and charging simple stopped, Cerbi observed the sight with confusion suddenly wondering why the sphinx stopped.
But it's confusion was almost immediately remedied, the leader was bisected while its flock was all slashed in half.
The force of the attack continued, completely gauging out the mountains the sphinx were attempting to flee to. Only silence rang as the destruction was being carried out.
As though even the explosion was scared of Marco's might only dead silence could be heard. While the sight of the mountain range rapidly transitioning into flat land was occurring.
The sight simply made Thanatos eyes grow lifeless, he knew that the opponent he had to get this man had to be insanely strong.
But after seeing the casual display of Marco's power he now knew he had to get someone completely insane or just insanely confident would be willing to fight this monster.
He wanted to sigh but he was suddenly presented with the spoils of the duo's hunt. Cerbi gave Thanatos a proud look while Marco was simply asking him if the sphinx meat was tasty.
Seeing he had no choice he let the crazy duo have lunch before he officially began to teach Marco.
