"Well," Oliver Hughes replied, "just checking her mood. It's such a big occasion, we can't have her getting stage fright."
Cyan Marshall initially wanted to say something, but after Oliver said that, she didn't know what to say.
A normal person wouldn't tolerate such words.
But as a mother, she understood Oliver. He was genuinely worried about Bella Woods being nervous, even though his words were harsh.
If she were to blame Oliver for anything now, his temper would flare, and he'd end up berating Bella, treating her even worse.
Cyan sighed.
Sometimes she truly didn't know how to deal with Oliver Hughes.
"Cyan, you and Oliver go inside and sit for a while. I'll handle the guests outside," Daniel Hughes said, gently supporting Cyan as he glanced at her high heels.
His eyes were filled with sympathy, "Be good and go sit for a bit."
