The two sat for a moment before Xavien called for one of the servers. It was the same Felina from before that served them the first time. He was prepared to pay for the bill, but he took a look at Dante before doing so.
"You should just try to…you know. Talk with her."
"I've tried that Xavien, it's not–"
"No, talk with her. Find out more about her as you go…"
"But what should I ask?"
"I'm not sure…but sometimes finding out more about people gives you more to work with. I mean, who knows? She might open up some if you give her the necessary time to. Sometimes girls can be the toughest nuts to crack. Oh, and assertiveness is key!"
"Hm…you may be onto somethin'."
"I'm always onto something. Now you can go off, I have another date to attend to. Just take your belongings out of the booth, I'll be staying here."
Dante had a surprised face as he stepped out of the stall and watched as another girl walked into the tavern. She looked around for a second before seeing Xavien and waving to him as she approached and sat on the same seat Dante had been sitting on previously.
"Amarie! I'm glad you made it."
"Sorry, It seems you've been waiting for a bit."
"Nonsense, I just got here. How about we get this date started, yeah?"
"Okay~"
Xavien glanced over to Dante and gave him a small thumbs-up from behind the stall. He was confused at how any of that would help him in his scenario but also felt as if he'd been duped on a date as well by the sly man named Xavien. He sighed heavily as he went to walk to the bathroom to gather his thoughts, but as he walked towards the bathroom, a voice sounded off next to him.
"W-what are you doing here!?"
The most recognizably jarring voice Dante could imagine in that very moment came to life as he turned his head to see his olive-haired partner looking at him as if he were a ghost. He noticed the dwarven woman sitting across from her who stared with wonder. He didn't know how to necessarily approach this situation, but he thought maybe this was a chance to get to know her some more, following Xavien's example.
