Somewhere within the city…
Small steps were heard against the bricked road, with the dangling of metals hitting against one another. The wind caused them to chime as someone called out to them.
"Iris! Is that you? It's been a long while!"
She turned quickly at the voice as she tugged on her bag, wondering who could be calling her at the moment. Looking at the shorter and stockier figure, it seemed to be a dwarven woman. She smiled widely as Iris approached slowly.
"I haven't seen you in ages! You're finally attending the academy like you said all those years ago, look at you go!"
"Yes…it's been some time Alma."
"What're you doing back around these parts, because if you're looking for wand repairs, it'll have to wait til tomorrow…"
"No, I don't need that in particular, though since you're here…"
Her eyes brimmed with desperation as Alma nodded and walked alongside her. From what she could remember, she'd known Iris for some years, as she prepared to enter the academy after her siblings had done the same. She knew her as a tense, yet hardworking girl and wanted to show her support for her goals however she could. Talking things out, seemed to be one of the ways that helped her best.
"I'm so stressed out, I don't even know what to do."
"What makes you say that?"
"Not only did I get placed in the lowest class…I also got partnered up with the one person I wanted to avoid! It's so frustrating that my grade depends on this all working…"
"Is this person you partnered up with particularly someone bad…?"
"Hm…no, I wouldn't say so but…"
Thoughts of her previous interactions with Dante flowed through her head as she began to question what she didn't like about him that caused such disdain. From those thoughts, she slowly began to pick out certain things that put him in such a light.
