Chapter 43 - " Chat Night Night "

( In the night around 12Pm to 1Am ,At the Ratanawong Mansion : )

( Inside Siri's bedroom ):;

...Siri's expression remained calm, but a flicker of dry amusement danced in her eyes. " Oh really ?..You think so?" she asked, her tone laced with a hint of teasing skepticism.

Nat nodded enthusiastically, his grin infectious. "Definitely. I mean, who wouldn't pass up a pyjama as colourful and funny as this?" He chuckled, clearly entertained by his own joke.

Siri's lips curved into a knowing smile, a hint of amusement flickering in her eyes, despite her usual reserve.

Siri playfully narrowed her eyes. "I advise you stop smiling.. if you don't want to lose that smile forever" Nat's laughter faltered.

Siri playfully narrowed her eyes. "If you don't shut up, Nat, you might just find yourself muted... for life."

Nat's laughter faltered, and he looked at Siri with a mix of surprise and amusement.

Siri's gaze sparkled with mischief. "I'm serious."

Nat's grin returned, and he held up his hands in mock surrender. "Okay, okay! I'll stop!"

As Siri smiled, Nat quickly screenshot her pyjamas, trying to be discreet.

But Siri's eyes flashed with surprise, and she leaned in, her voice low and playful. "Ah-ah, Nat, I know you took a screenshot. Don't even try to deny it."

Nat's face turned bright red as he tried to play it cool. "What are you talking about? I didn't take anything."

Siri raised an eyebrow, her expression skeptical. "Save it, Nat. I saw your finger move. You're not fooling anyone."

Nat's grin faltered, and he looked caught red-handed.

Siri's eyes sparkled with amusement. "You should've known better than to try to sneak one past me."

Nat's face turned even redder as he tried to come up with an excuse. "I... uh... I was just... uh... checking the time."

Siri's laughter echoed through the video call. "You expect me to believe you were checking the time when I'm looking like this? You think I'm that gullible?"

"Oh, you didn't know that?" Nat joked, his eyes sparkling with amusement,

Siri raised an eyebrow, a hint of amusement in her voice. "What didn't I know?"

Nat's joking tease sparked a playful glint in his eyes. "Ohh , you didn't know you're that easy to fool?" he asked, chuckling.

Siri's expression turned slightly dry, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Ha ha, very funny."

Nat's grin returned, and he teased, "I mean, didn't think you'd actually believe I was checking the time."

Siri's gaze remained calm, but a hint of amusement flickered in her eyes. "You're enjoying this, aren't you?"

Nat's laughter echoed through the call. "Maybe just a little."

As Siri smiled, Nat quickly brought up the screenshot again. "By the way, can I keep it as blackmail material?"

Siri's expression turned playful. "Of course you can."

Nat's eyes lit up with a hint of suspicion as he said, "Really?"

Siri's gaze turned teasing. "I mean, it seems like you've been having a death wish lately."

Nat's grin faltered, and he joked, "So what if I do? What are you going to do about it?"

Siri's smile turned mischievous. "I don't mind granting it for you "

Nat's eyes widened in mock fear. "Oh my god, so scary! ...Fine, fine, I'll delete it!"

Nat's laughter echoed through the call, while Siri smiled.

Siri's laughter was subtle, and she asked, "By the way, why did you call me so many times? "

Nat's expression turned slightly sheepish, and he hesitated before responding, "I was ..You said you'd text me when you got home, but I didn't hear from you."

Siri's eyes sparkled with amusement. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I totally forgot. I had to rush dinner because Yot was waiting for me."

Nat's curiosity was piqued. "What's wrong?"

Siri explained, "Nothing much, he refused to eat without me, so I had to hurry cause it was late already "

Nat's laughter echoed through the call again. "That's so sweet of Yot."

Siri smiled, feeling a bit relieved. "Yeah, Thanks for checking up on me."

Nat's tone turned thoughtful. "No problem "

Siri asked, "And what about you? Did you get into trouble?"

Nat let out a sigh of relief. "Luckily, I arrived before my parents did."

Siri nodded, her expression calm. "That's good."

As they continued talking, Siri's yawns became more frequent, and Nat noticed. "you're getting sleepy, aren't you?"

Siri nodded, her eyes drooping. "Yeah, It's just been a long day."

Nat's voice turned gentle. "It's okay, see you tomorrow. Get some rest "

Siri smiled, feeling grateful for Nat's understanding. "Okay, thanks. Goodnight, Nat."

Nat's voice turned soft. "Goodnight, Siri. Sweet dreams."

Siri ended the call and placed her phone on the delicate wooden nightstand. She slipped under the silk-covered duvet, feeling the softness envelop her, and snuggled into the pillow, her eyes slowly drifting shut.
