Chapter 97 - Chapter 97: Then End of The Exiled Legions

The Exiled Legions walked in silence.

For the first time in a long time, there was nothing left to do.

Behemoth was resurrected. The Hunters were scattered. Their purpose—gone.

And so, they had come to a decision.

They were retiring.

No more fighting. No more pointless wars. They had played their part, and now it was over.

Cain let out a slow breath, adjusting his coat. "Feels weird."

Nick scoffed. "Yeah. Who knew retirement would feel this empty?"

Archer shook his head. "What else did you expect? A grand farewell party?"

Nick chuckled. "Would've been nice."

Cain exhaled, glancing up at the darkened sky. The air was still heavy with the remnants of battle, but for once, he didn't feel the need to rush into another fight.

They had spent their whole lives clawing for survival. Now, they could finally stop.

…Or so they thought.

Behind them, Leo walked in silence.

His usual smirk was absent. His hands rested in his pockets, his steps unhurried.
