Ezaki Kitazawa glanced at the American Shorthair cat beside him and explained, "I'm not upset at all. In fact, I think it's great."
Compared to boring, repetitive, and ineffective training, Ezaki Kitazawa much preferred helping with student training.
Before long, evening arrived. Ezaki Kitazawa stood in front, activating his magic eye Quirk. He could already see that Class 1-A was slowly making their way back. But they weren't in good shape—they had likely overused their Quirks, causing their bodies to weaken significantly. Every single one of them was walking with difficulty, struggling to move forward.
Ezaki Kitazawa noticed this, and soon after, a voice came from behind. "They're back."
Pixie-Bob spoke up. "Uh… They're much later than expected."
"Yeah, way slower than we thought."
Before long, a group of exhausted students stumbled forward, barely able to stay on their feet. Eventually, they collapsed onto the ground.
"That… that was brutal. They said it'd take three hours, but we've been running since morning and only just got here now."
"Yeah, I feel like I'm gonna die. My legs are completely numb."
"This was way too hard. I feel terrible."
The group started complaining one after another.
Pixie-Bob chuckled. "Well, this was nothing for us. But among all of you, Ezaki Kitazawa really stood out."
"Sensei, he's different from us!" Kaminari Denki protested.
"How is he different? He's a first-year at U.A., just like you guys," Pixie-Bob replied.
"That guy is a total monster. His strength already surpasses pro heroes. If he were struggling like us, now that would be weird," Kirishima Eijiro said seriously.
"Alright, enough talking. Hurry up and get your luggage from the car, put it in your rooms, and then head to the cafeteria for dinner. After that, take a bath and get some rest. Training camp officially starts tomorrow," Aizawa Shouta instructed.
"Yes, sir!" everyone responded.
And just like that, the first day of the training camp was practically over. Time passed quickly, and soon, it was the second day.
Today's training was all about constantly using Quirks to push past their limits. Aizawa Shouta had assigned each student a training method suited to them.
Early in the morning—
"What? Ezaki doesn't have to train and is helping Aizawa-sensei train us instead?"
Aizawa Shouta frowned slightly before answering, "That's right. Also, Midoriya, your training will be supervised by Ezaki. His fundamental skills are excellent, so he's more than capable of teaching you."
Midoriya nodded. "Understood, Aizawa-sensei."
"This training is all about strengthening your Quirks and pushing beyond your limits. It's going to be tough, so be prepared," Aizawa Shouta said with a rare, meaningful smile.
"Yes, sir!"
Everyone nodded.
Soon, under Aizawa Shouta's guidance, the students started their training one by one.
"Stop watching. Let's go," Ezaki Kitazawa said to Midoriya Izuku.
"Go where?"
"Obviously, to train."
"Oh, oh, right!"
Midoriya quickly picked up his pace and followed.
After walking for a while, Ezaki Kitazawa stopped, scanned the surroundings, and said, "This spot should work. Not too many trees."
Muttering to himself, he then turned to Midoriya Izuku. "Your Quirk… You still haven't fully mastered it, have you?"
"No, not yet," Midoriya admitted. "If I push too hard, I'll suffer backlash."
"Since today's training is about surpassing your limits, you'll need to prepare yourself. I'm sure All Might already told you—I have a healing Quirk," Ezaki Kitazawa said calmly.
"Y-Yeah, he did."
"So, I won't go easy on you. Don't hold back out of fear of the backlash—push yourself beyond what your body can handle."
Ezaki Kitazawa spoke steadily and deliberately.
"I understand, Ezaki. Then… I'll be counting on you!"
Midoriya swallowed nervously, mentally preparing himself.
"Alright, no more wasting time. Let's begin!"
"Okay."
With that, Midoriya activated his Quirk. Colorful light particles swirled around his entire body. In the next second, he rushed straight toward Ezaki Kitazawa.
But to Ezaki Kitazawa, his speed was far too slow.
*Whoosh!*
Midoriya Izuku closed the distance and threw a kick.
*Smack!*
Ezaki Kitazawa caught Midoriya's foot with ease. The next second, he flung him away.
"Didn't I tell you? Use power beyond your limits. Stop wasting time."
Ezaki Kitazawa gave him a reminder.
Midoriya Izuku got up from the ground, nodded, and said softly, "Got it!"
As he spoke, he activated his Quirk once again. Colorful light particles covered his entire body.
"Haah!"
He shouted and charged straight at Ezaki Kitazawa. At the same time, Ezaki Kitazawa quickly clenched his fist. Air currents swirled around his fist in an instant, and he threw a punch.
Their fists collided, creating a powerful gust of wind that swept through the surroundings. In the end, Ezaki Kitazawa took a few steps back, while Midoriya Izuku was sent flying.
"Shoto Todoroki!"
With a loud thud, Midoriya Izuku crashed right in front of Class B's homeroom teacher, Blood King, who was leading his students to training. At this moment, Midoriya Izuku's entire arm was twisted and deformed, as if it had been burned.
Blood King's face stiffened at the sight.
"You call this training?"
Midoriya Izuku endured the intense pain and stood up, glancing at his injured arm, which was both deformed and burned-looking. He frowned slightly.
"Yes."
"If you keep training like this, you're just gonna die faster."
Blood King then turned to the other side and shouted, "Eraserhead! Your students are out here risking their lives!"
