Chapter 111 - OBSTACLE

U.A. Sports Festival – Private Viewing Room

In a spacious private viewing room high above the stadium, a group of distinguished figures observed the festival with mild curiosity. The walls were lined with sleek, dark furnishings, the large floor-to-ceiling windows providing an uninterrupted view of the arena below. A large screen on one side displayed multiple camera angles of the students, offering a clear view of the action.

Seated around the room, each person carried an air of importance. Some were relaxed, others more attentive, but all were intrigued by the upcoming events.

Bibi Dong leaned back with a subtle smirk, the glint in her eyes revealing her satisfaction. "I'm glad Xuanyu agreed to participate. This is the perfect chance to observe how far he's come."

"Agreed," Foara mumbled, her arms crossed. "There's no real danger, and it'll give him a platform to test himself against talented opponents."

All Might, sitting near the front, kept his usual grin though his eyes were sharp. "It's not every day you get to see young heroes show off their skills. I'll admit, I'm curious how he stacks up."

"With his bloodline and training, there won't be much suspense," Ditian noted, his expression calm and thoughtful. "But it's not about winning. It's about how he adapts."

"Hmph," Irene Belserion gave a small smile. "But he does enjoy making an impression when he wants to. It wouldn't surprise me if he crushed a few obstacles just to get a reaction."

"Maybe," Lily Potter interjected, her tone warmer. "But I think he'll be more subtle. The festival isn't just about strength — it's about how well they think on their feet."

"I'm more curious how the other students will react," Booma, the female Tetramand, commented, her four muscular arms folded. "It's not every day you see someone casually smash through obstacles like they're pebbles."

The murmurs in the room subsided as Present Mic's booming voice echoed through the screens.

"YEEEEAAAHH!! WELCOME TO THE U.A. SPORTS FESTIVAL!"

Bibi Dong's smile grew faintly. "Let's see what the future heroes of this world have to offer."

In the back, Foara mumbled," That guy is way too loud."

---

The deafening roar of the crowd filled the stadium, excitement crackling in the air like electricity. Thousands of spectators eagerly awaited the start of U.A.'s most thrilling event, their cheers echoing throughout the massive arena.

At the front of the students, standing atop a raised platform, was Present Mic, the Voice Hero, dressed in his usual black leather jacket, yellow-tinted glasses gleaming under the bright lights. His spiky blond hair stood wild, matching his boundless energy.

"YEEEEAAAHH!! WELCOME TO THE U.A. SPORTS FESTIVAL!" His voice boomed through the stadium, making some students instinctively flinch. "ARE YOU ALL READY FOR SOME ACTION?!"

More cheers erupted from the audience, the anticipation reaching its peak.

Present Mic grinned, adjusting his headphones before pointing dramatically toward the starting gate. "FIRST UP, WE'VE GOT THE OBSTACLE RACE! A CHALLENGE THAT WILL TEST YOUR SPEED! YOUR SKILL! AND YOUR STRATEGY!"

----

In the private viewing room, Shisui gave a small nod. "Good challenge for a first round. No straightforward combat, just problem-solving."

Nezu chuckled, his paws clasped together. "And plenty of opportunities to see how they think on their feet."

----

Back in the stadium, the massive steel gates loomed ominously before the students, marking the start of the unpredictable course ahead.

"The rules are simple!" Present Mic continued, his voice carrying over the stadium. "The track encircles the entire stadium! Anything goes as long as you stay within the designated path! The first forty-two to cross the finish line will move on to the next round!"

The students shifted in place, some bouncing on their heels, others standing still with focused expressions.

Present Mic scanned over the students, his excitement unwavering. But then—his eyes locked onto someone unfamiliar among them. A slight pause.

His mouth opened, almost on instinct, and he raised a hand, ready to point—

"HEY, WAIT A SE—"

Before he could finish, the microphone in his hand suddenly cut off for a split second — just a small flicker of interference, barely noticeable to the audience but enough to make him hesitate.

In the viewing room, All Might shot a brief glance at Nezu, who merely smiled.

Behind the scenes, Aizawa subtly lowered his capture weapon, his tired eyes glaring at Present Mic's back.

"A-HAHA! NO NEED TO WASTE TIME!" Present Mic's voice rang out again, now back in full force. "LET'S KEEP THIS ENERGY UP! AFTER ALL, THIS IS U.A.'S FINEST IN ACTION!"

---

"That was deliberate," Lily commented dryly.

"Of course," Irene replied with a smirk. "Wouldn't want unnecessary attention just yet."

---

The countdown began.

"ON YOUR MARK…!"

In the arena, the students lowered into their stances, determination burning in their eyes.

"GET SET…!"

The air grew tense, anticipation hanging thick.

"GOOOOOO!!"

With a loud buzz, the steel gates blasted open — and chaos erupted as the students surged forward, diving straight into the battlefield.

Bibi Dong's eyes gleamed with satisfaction. "Let the games begin."

Standing among the students, Xuanyu maintained his calm demeanor. The initial wave of adrenaline from the cheering crowd had passed, leaving him fully focused. Though he had never participated in a sports festival like this, he couldn't deny the thrill of competition. After all, he had agreed to take part — might as well make it worthwhile.

He glanced around as the students darted ahead. Some rushed forward with unmatched determination, like Bakugo, his explosive temper visible in the fierce gleam of his crimson eyes. Todoroki remained composed, his heterochromatic eyes calculating. Others, like the ever-cheerful Uraraka, had a mixture of excitement and nervousness.

Xuanyu's attention lingered momentarily on a particular pair. Momo Yaoyorozu, with her elegant black hair tied in a loose ponytail, had a striking presence. The gym uniform did little to diminish her regal bearing. Her sharp, intelligent gaze was locked on the path ahead, her mind undoubtedly forming strategies already. Beside her stood Kyoka Jiro, the punk-styled girl with short, purple hair and earphone jacks dangling from her earlobes. There was something confident and effortlessly cool about her.

Though he barely spared a second glance, the subtle curiosity in Xuanyu's gaze lingered for a heartbeat longer than necessary before he returned his focus. No one seemed to notice.

Since he was participating in the first two games, he was determined to give it his all. Not only would it be a good challenge, but it would also serve as an opportunity to gauge his control over runes in a real-world setting.

Indeed he is gonna use runes, since THE WORLD ORIGIN RUNE, is the rune that depicts the world's origin. It have all the runes that were created previously. So using it he can control a number of runes simultaneously. Which would make his world load easy, as without it he would have to concentrate on simultaneously activate and control multiple runes at a time.

He closed his eyes and stimulated the World Origin Rune inside his spiritual space, using Runesmith. Xuanyu smiled as he could feel thousands of other runes and his control over them.

---

With the thunderous sound of the gates crashing open, the students charged forward, their determination pushing them into the unknown. Dust swirled around the starting line as dozens of footsteps thundered across the ground. The roar of the crowd followed them, a constant wave of excitement.

"AND THEY'RE OFF!" Present Mic's enthusiastic voice rang through the stadium. "THE OBSTACLE RACE HAS BEGUN, AND IT'S EVERYONE FOR THEMSELVES!"

Explosions blasted through the air as Bakugo Katsuki rocketed ahead, his signature explosive propulsion sending him soaring above the competition. His wild grin and fierce glare made it clear — he intended to dominate. His fiery blasts scorched the air behind him, leaving trails of smoke.

"OH-HO! BAKUGO WASTING NO TIME!" Present Mic boomed. "IS HE GONNA BLAST HIS WAY THROUGH EVERY OBSTACLE?"

"Bakugo's certainly making his presence known," All Might commented, his signature grin still intact as Bakugo blasted through the frontlines. "He's not holding back in the slightest."

"That kind of explosive mobility is clever," Acier Silva noted, her sharp eyes following Bakugo's trajectory. "Using his Quirk for both offense and propulsion keeps him on the offensive. But he's reckless. He won't last long if he wastes energy like that."

Just behind him, Shoto Todoroki moved with calculated calmness. Without hesitation, he released a surge of ice across the ground, forming a massive frozen path. The chilling air sent a visible mist swirling around him as the ice rapidly expanded, freezing the ground beneath the feet of his competitors.

"AND JUST LIKE THAT, TODOROKI'S ALREADY FREEZING OUT THE COMPETITION!" Present Mic's voice echoed.

The sudden terrain shift sent several students stumbling. Some slipped and fell, struggling to regain their footing. Others frantically searched for alternate routes, unwilling to risk the slick surface.

"It's a brutal strategy for a student," Rias Gremory remarked, crossing her arms. "But it's very good for reducing competition and gaining massive lead."

"Indeed," Shisui leaned forward, intrigued. "He's not just trying to get ahead. He's eliminating obstacles for himself by making others fall behind."

But not Xuanyu.

Instead of finding a clever path around the ice, he did something far simpler — and far more brutal. With no hint of hesitation, he stomped forward.

"WHAT'S THIS? LOOKS LIKE SOME STUDENTS ARE IN TROUBLE, BUT—" Present Mic's voice caught for a moment. "WAIT A MINUTE!"

The crowd's murmurs grew louder as all eyes turned to Xuanyu. His eyes turned dragon which gleamed in the sunlight with nine different colours, and despite the chaotic scene around him, his face remained impassive. No strategy. No finesse. Just raw power.

He lifted one leg and brought it down — hard.

CRACK!

The ice beneath him shattered. Jagged cracks spread in all directions, fragments of frozen debris scattering across the ground. With a single step, he had broken through Todoroki's formidable ice. And then he did it again. Each footfall thundered like a hammer striking stone, smashing the obstacle under sheer force alone.

"ARE YOU SEEING THIS? NO SKILL! NO TRICKS! JUST PURE BRUTE STRENGTH!" Present Mic hollered, his voice echoing through the stadium.

"Now that is a display of dominance," Ditian said, his amused grin widening. "No evasion. No strategy. Just raw power, the way of dragons."

Irene nodded, her violet eyes gleaming. "For him to shatter Todoroki's ice without slowing down, his physical strength is monstrous. It seems he made good use of those gravity braclets."

Todoroki, now further ahead, didn't even glance back. He remained composed, though a flicker of acknowledgment crossed his eyes.

"Midoriya's keeping up," All Might remarked, his grin widening with pride.

Unlike Bakugo and Todoroki, Izuku Midoriya moved with calm confidence. Sparks of green lightning flickered around his limbs, his muscles surging with controlled power. With 10% of One For All flowing through him, he propelled himself forward using explosive bursts of strength. Every leap and bound was calculated, as he vaulted over obstacles and twisted mid-air to dodge debris.

"Midoriya's using One For All efficiently," All Might said proudly. "He's controlling 10% without causing injury. It's a testament to how much he's grown."

"His agility is impressive," Acier observed. "The way he anticipates movements and adjusts mid-air... that's not just Quirk mastery. That's battle instinct."

"It's like he knows the best path before he takes it," Shisui mused, a grin creeping across his face. "Smart and adaptive — the kind of fighter who'll survive no matter the challenge. But Almight, how did he gain this much control over OFA? Afterall even if he you taught him the correct method of controlling OFA, he still would only be able to control 5% or so percent. Then how is he able to control it at 10%?"

Almight smiled," Oh that? I asked lady Irene to create a set of gravity braclets for Izuku, as training under gravity will increase his strength quickly. Then I also bought some herbs and some potions from shop which helped Izuku. In the end I used my all 100 SP which I got for mission in Shisui's world."

Acier said," Good strategy, it seems Izuku is lucky to have you as a teacher."

While other were talking, Albedo kept her focus on her lord

Back in the race, Iida Tenya's engines roared to life as he accelerated across the terrain, his metal-clad legs kicking up dirt. His unwavering posture and fierce determination drove him forward like a missile. Ochako Uraraka floated above the shattered ice using her Zero Gravity, carefully maneuvering through the air with small bursts of momentum.

"The first real challenge is coming," Rias pointed out as the dark entrance of the tunnel loomed ahead.

"The 'Robo Inferno,'" Shisui recalled with amusement. "An unpredictable mess of oversized robots designed to crush, block, and obstruct. Let's see who makes it through."

"And who gets left behind," Bibi Dong added with a smile sharpening at the edges.
