Connor
I listened to Edward's steady breathing as he was fast asleep. The breath of his nostrils tickled my forehead since I was sleeping on top of him. My ear was pressed against his chest to listen to his steady breathing, our legs were intertwined and when I tried to move off him his strong arms wrapped around me to hold me in place.
This had been our position the entire morning. I didn't want to get out of bed and I was sure Edward was the same. He seemed completely out of it. It surprised me because normally the roles were reversed.
Normally.
Even that sounded weird. Did I want to count the eight or fifteen times I had now lost count on as normal? This wasn't normal. The cabin wasn't normal and the three times during the night and once a few hours ago was not normal.
