Maria glanced sideways at Julia, a smug grin tugging at her lips. "I'm just saying, if someone had proper temperature control, maybe the parking lot wouldn't look like a scene from Frozen."
Julia didn't look at her. "And if someone didn't have the spatial awareness of a wrecking ball, maybe we wouldn't need hazard tape around every entrance you touch."
Morgan tried to whisper to Cornelius. "Are they always like this?"
Cornelius sipped his marshmallow cocoa and answered sagely. "Only on days that end with 'Y'."
Lisa raised an eyebrow. "So... every day? And how do you even know them? They're way out of your league."
Julius sniffed and clasped his hands. "These flame-and-frost harpies think they're intimidating, but let us not forget, dear friends, that raw elementalism is merely primal. We, on the other hand, represent the peak of psychic sophistication."
Maria turned, her eyes narrowing at Julius. "Sorry, who are you again? Discount theater kid or backup magician?"
