It was a gloomy day in heaven (whoa whoa whoa, what are we in, a backstory?), which was considerably strange as heaven was described as a land of holy and eternal peace. The residents of heaven were looking out into the sky, wondering why they sky was so cloudy and the mood gloomy, as usually it was the opposite way around, the sky instead being sunny and bright and the mood being peaceful and happy.
The angels of heaven also realized this sudden change. They wondered amongst themselves what has happened, as this was not a common occurrence.
"What is going on?" one angel asked.
"I am clueless myself," said another.
"Should we get the archangels and ask them what is happening?" questioned another.
"I do not believe so. I am sure that the Archangels already know," replied another one.
The angel was not far from the truth. Near God's throne, the seven Archangels rose and observed the sky, confusion obvious from their perfect faces.
"What in the lord's name is going on up there?" Remiel wondered.
"The sky has never been this...grey," Uriel pointed out.
"Whatever it is, it does not look good," Raphael said.
"I could feel something ominous approaching," Michael suddenly stated.
"But that's impossible Michael! No evil could breach the Doors of Heaven unless they have power that rivals our Father!" Sariel responded.
"Let us wait for our Father to give us his wishes on this matter," Raguel suggested.
The other Archangels agreed and Gabriel went to God's throne to ask him what he wishes for them to do.
However, as Gabriel was flying through dimensions to reach the one where God's throne resided, what he noticed instead was all the Seraphims all huddle up, looking all worried and talking to one another.
One of the Seraphims noticed Gabriel flying towards the throne where God was and called him over. Of course, Gabriel went down to check out what the Seraphim wanted to say to him.
"Want do you request of me, o fiery one?" Gabriel asked the Seraphim.
The Seraphim answered, "Archangel Gabriel, you do not have to go to meet our Father right now."
"And how may that be?" questioned a very confused Gabriel.
"Well, it is supposed to be secret so we do not cause panic amongst the heavens, however our Father is not in his throne right now," another Seraphim answered. "In fact, he has left his throne a while ago, saying that he feels a threat to the heavens and told us to keep his absence a secret to the other angels."
"What? That would not make any sense o fiery one, as our Father would not leave his throne and just send one of us, unless it is a very big deal that we cannot face!" an even more bewildered Gabriel said.
"Yes Archangel Gabriel, that is where we are lost as well. However we must carry out his wishes without any questions," the Seraphim that called Gabriel over replied.
"So then what do we do about the grey sky or the unusual atmosphere that feels like someone has passed away?" Gabriel asked the Seraphims. "What are we, as our Father's most trusted servants, going to have to do about this? We must fix this before our Father comes back."
"Yes, tell the other Archangels to check out the situation outside the doors and find out what is causing this sudden phenomenon," said another Seraphim.
So Gabriel took his leave and went back to the other Archangels and explained the situation to them.
"So our Father has been missing for so long and we, the most loyal servants of his, didn't even notice? I am beyond shocked and extremely ashamed of myself," Raphael stated, a sheer look of disappointment evident on his face.
"Let us check out the outside first," Michael said, his face still straight and calm. "We must check out the problem and deal with it as quickly as possible before our Father comes back. After all, we do not want to cause him more trouble."
"I agree, let us deal with the matter at hand and then worry about our Father," Uriel agreed.
So the seven Archangels flew over to the Gates of Heaven, which was a humongous golden gate that stood at around 200 feet tall.
Michael took a step forward and pushed the open gates effortlessly, in which somehow it managed to open, despite the colossal size.
After taking a step outside, the Archangels noticed that the atmosphere was completely different to the one in heaven. It first felt extremely gloomy, as if every bad thing has happened to you all at once (very relatable). The grey clouds were also much more thick and darker than the ones in heaven. Michael quickly shut the door after everyone was outside as he did not want any of this to enter heaven and make it much worse than it already was.
"Well, the outside is quite something," Raguel commented on the horrid conditions outside.
"That is one very obvious statement, isn't it?" Sariel replied coldly.
"Let us go farther to see the cause of this mess. We must stop it before everything gets worse," Michael told the other Archangels.
However, only after a few moments of flying trying to look for the source, they got their answer. As the Archangels were flying across the gloomy atmosphere, they noticed something which had no end in width and height. As they approached the unknown object, their faces soon had expressions of horror as they instantly realized what was in front of them.
The object in front of them was a finger, however it was not just any finger, but one that belonged to God (wait what? Isn't he like, I don't know, omnipotent?). The finger had golden blood pouring out from a cut and the cut was not just any cut, but seemed like God had tried to block it with his hands but got them slashed instead.
As the Archangels watched in horror, a sudden wave of immense pressure hit them like a fright train. As the Archangels tumbled to the ground from the unexpected wave of pressure, Michael looked up to see a black figure in front of the finger, walking slowly and surely, as if it had no need to hurry.
And in his hand was the all so familiar head of the Father, with golden blood gushing out from the severed neck.
Sero shivered as he realized that the stories from all those tales that his parents told him were, in fact, true. Sitting in the throne of this gigantic room was none other than the fallen angel himself, Michael.
"What brings you here, if there is nothing left?" Sero asks the now dark, sad form of what was left of the great Archangel, Michael.
"I felt a calling, urging me to head over here," he replied. "It felt as if a fragment of my Father was calling to me, as he did before."
Sero looked dumbfounded (wait what, Michael has a father? Oh wait it's God ain't it...I forgot about the Bible, haven't read that thick book in a hot minute), as he did not see nor hear anything calling out to anyone (he's probably still confused on how the heck he ended up here in the first place).
A sudden pop up noise sounded, and another box from the system appeared in front of him (why hello there, about time your late ass showed up).
It read, "Hello Pathetic Weakling! New Quest Has Been Made! Accept Or Not? (wait when did the first letters get capitalized???)"
