With a swift upward movement, Max swung his sword. The black blade cut cleanly through the flaming sphere, splitting it in half with no resistance. The two halves of the fiery attack disintegrated into ash before they could even get close to him.
But the assault wasn't over.
Just as that one was destroyed, dozens more spheres of red flame came hurtling toward him from different directions, each blazing with intensity.
"It doesn't matter how many there are if they're this weak," Max said quietly. With his eyes glowing faintly, his Three Dimensional Body kicked in, slowing everything down in his perception. The orbs moved like sluggish sparks in water, and Max moved through them with smooth precision. His sword danced—slash, slice, cut, break—cleaving each sphere with mechanical efficiency. Not a single one touched him.
And just like that, all the spheres of flames thrown at him were destroyed into nothingness.
Then suddenly—whoosh!
"Blink Dash."
