"Thunder Breathing?"
Sarada quietly murmured the name. It certainly sounded impressive.
"Thunder Breathing consists of seven forms," Sasuke explained casually, as if discussing some run-of-the-mill technique. "Strictly speaking, there's an eighth form too, but it requires coordination with another taijutsu, the Eight Inner Gates, specifically while the Eighth Gate is open."
Hearing Sasuke speak so matter-of-factly, Mitsuki and Sarada were completely stunned.
Requires coordination with another taijutsu, the Eight Inner Gates.
If their memory served them right, the Eight Inner Gates was one of Konoha's forbidden taijutsu techniques. Its power was immense.
Mastering it up to the Eighth Gate was exceedingly difficult, and the eighth form of Thunder Breathing actually required that level of taijutsu, with the final gate opened, just to be used?
Just how monstrously powerful must it be?
The thought ignited Sarada's interest completely. A technique with such incredibly high prerequisites... its power must surely be terrifying.
"I'll teach you the specific methods gradually," Sasuke continued. "First step: regulate your breathing."
"Release the chakra within your body. Don't try to control it with your will; let it flow with your breath, let it move!"
"If you can manage this first step, then you'll be ready to learn Thunder Breathing."
He then turned his head to look at Mitsuki on the other side.
"Mitsuki!"
"As your teacher, naturally, I must also teach you a new ninjutsu!"
"This technique is also one of my signature skills, and it should be an excellent match for you!"
"You can utilize Sage Mode. Combining it with this technique will instantly elevate you to a whole new level!"
Sasuke smiled. Mitsuki felt a flicker of anticipation. Sasuke's signature technique! What could it possibly be?
"Lightning Release: Godspeed!"
Those simple words made Mitsuki freeze in place.
Lightning Release: Godspeed... the very technique that had once earned Sasuke the title "Black Flash". And he was willing to teach it to him.
"Lightning Release: Godspeed!" Sasuke elaborated, "It has two forms. One is 'Lightning Speed,' which you control according to your own will."
"The other involves entrusting everything to instinct, a form called 'Gale Swift Thunder'!"
"Regardless of which form you use, adding the power of your Sage Chakra will drastically increase your speed!"
"It will grant you speed comparable to instant movement!"
"Simultaneously, since speed is power, it will also significantly enhance your offensive capabilities."
Hearing this, even the usually calm Mitsuki found it impossible to remain composed. Lightning Release: Godspeed... that was undeniably an S-rank ninjutsu!
Before Mitsuki could even respond, Boruto, standing nearby, couldn't help but speak up.
"Sasuke-sensei, can you teach me that technique too?!"
Sasuke simply shook his head. "No!"
Rejected so flatly, Boruto was momentarily stunned. Mitsuki and Sarada hadn't expected Sasuke to refuse so decisively either.
Does he have some issue with Naruto? How could that be? Aren't Sasuke-sensei and Naruto great friends? Why would Sasuke...?
"Sensei, please consider teaching Boruto as well. His talent is formidable..." Mitsuki attempted to plead Boruto's case.
However, Sasuke just offered a faint smile. "Did I say I wouldn't teach him anything?"
Hearing this, Boruto blinked, looking up at Sasuke again with confusion. "Then why... why can't you teach me that ninjutsu?"
"Because you're not suited for it!"
Not suited? Boruto felt a surge of defiance. "I possess Lightning Release chakra too! Why am I not suited?!"
"Because of your personality," Sasuke stated calmly. "You aren't as meticulous as Mitsuki. Fighting with Lightning Release: Godspeed inherently involves taking risks. Mitsuki's composure can ensure near-perfect execution, minimizing mistakes. You, on the other hand, cannot!"
Boruto wanted to retort, but he found himself speechless. It seemed Sasuke only intended to teach him some ordinary technique, not showing him the same boundless favor he showed Mitsuki and Sarada.
"I'm teaching Sarada Black Lightning Release, Chidori, Lightning Release Discharge, and Thunder Breathing!" Sasuke explained, addressing the group.
"It's not merely because she is Itachi's daughter, but also because she has inherited the Uchiha bloodline and possesses the Sharingan. Her combat style is bound to be diverse."
"Analyzing the target, assessing the situation, selecting the appropriate fighting method, and achieving victory – Sarada requires a versatile range of techniques!"
Sasuke then looked towards Mitsuki. "And Mitsuki, you are composed and calculating. Your fighting style leans towards cleverly exploiting your opponent's personality and attack patterns, turning them to your advantage!"
"Therefore, Lightning Release: Godspeed is an excellent choice for Mitsuki!"
"And you!" Sasuke now fixed his gaze on the final member, Boruto.
"You tend to be careless and impulsive, but you possess great courage. If I taught you Godspeed, you would likely charge headfirst into battle without thinking. If your luck runs out, or you make a critical misjudgment, it could very well be a one-way trip."
"Hence, you should learn a different ninjutsu!"
"Moreover, this technique, wielded by your grandfather, once caused tremors throughout the entire ninja world..."
"He became known as the 'Yellow Flash.' I hope that once you master this technique, you too can inherit that title."
Yellow Flash. Such a cool name.
Boruto had initially assumed Sasuke would treat him differently, but now it appeared Sasuke had no such intention; he was treating them all equally.
"The name of this technique is the Flying Thunder God Technique! It's a space-time type ninjutsu!"
Space-time type. Boruto hadn't expected such a delightful surprise. Space-time ninjutsu sounded even more incredible than Lightning Release!
Meanwhile, Mitsuki's attention remained fixed on Sasuke.
'Such an astonishing reserve of ninjutsu... He's even mastered a forbidden technique like the Flying Thunder God.'
'Truly worthy of the title Encyclopedia of the Shinobi World.'
'Perhaps... perhaps there isn't a single technique this man doesn't know!'
"Right," Sasuke suddenly asked, "Do you know how to use the Rasengan?"
Boruto paused, then shook his head. "Rasengan? What's that?"
It seemed that without the events of the original storyline, Boruto hadn't even learned the Rasengan. Looks like I'll be busy, Sasuke thought inwardly.
"No matter. If you don't know it, you'll learn. I'll teach you the Rasengan. It's an offensive ninjutsu that can be used directly without forming hand seals."
"It falls under the category of close-combat attack ninjutsu."
"Its power is comparable to the Chidori."
Hearing "Chidori," a bright smile spread across Boruto's face. He had witnessed firsthand how devastatingly powerful Sarada's Chidori was during the Chunin Exams. Now, he could master a technique that rivaled it? This was simply fantastic!
Expressions of joy lit up the faces of all three students.
Sasuke glanced at the time. "Alright, let's get moving! I'll teach you as we walk. These techniques are all quite simple!"
"You'll be able to master them without even needing to think too hard!"
Hearing Sasuke say this, the three seemed somewhat skeptical. Regardless of which ninjutsu Sasuke had mentioned earlier, from Mitsuki's perspective, every single one undoubtedly belonged in the forbidden technique category. Yet Sasuke claimed they could learn them without even thinking?
That seemed utterly impossible!
And indeed, reality proved harsh. The techniques Sasuke deemed simple felt like torture to the three young ninja.
Especially for Boruto. Just during the initial practice, focusing on kunai throwing... Boruto witnessed what a true monster looked like.
Sasuke, with a single, expertly thrown shuriken, simultaneously deflected five of Boruto's kunai... What kind of divine skill was that...?
