So after a lot of thinking of how I should go about my version of Kiyohime, I decided that she won't be a yandere, but she will act like a golden retriever, acting like Yuuji's emotional helper, because he may or may not go to super depressing worlds like JJK, Tokyo ghoul, and akame ga kill.
Now with that, onto the chapter
————————————————————-
'Wait Kiyohime…like the princess turned dragon Kiyohime?' I think to myself as I remember the entire legend that revolves around her, she tried to have a monk fall in love with her, but when he kept rejecting her she turned into a dragon and killed the one she loved.
(I forgot her entire lore, so I'm going to have to sum it up for you all)
"Well Kiyohime, do you…want to talk about what ails you?" I ask her as I sit across from her as she sniffles, "why would you care? You don't even know me." She countered as I internally cringe at how cliche and corny her response was.
"Is it wrong to help seomeone else? My grandmother says when we are in pain, whether it be from loss or sadness, maybe even loneliness, all it takes is one person who cares about you will you finally feel like that baggage becomes a lot lighter." I say as I remember my grandmother, how she would always smile whenever I was sad and cheer me up through listening to my problems.
(Yes this is and actual quote from my grandma(on my dad's side), and sometime confiding in someone actually helps)
I watch as Kiyohime take a shaky breath as she looks at me, "…when…when I was younger, I was friends with another princess by the name of Imu, and we always competed against each other, whether it be sparring or academic or political prowess, we always did so with respect for each other…" she begins explaining as I realize she was a friend towards the enigma that was Imu.
"But one day when a meeting with the kingdoms all over the world, we both met someone who lit up our lives, her name was princess Lily D. Nephertari, she was the princess of the alabasta kingdom, and it was when we both fell in love with the princess of the desert kingdom, soon the three of us played together and we got closer, but she was closer to me than Imu…and one day when Lily wanted to be with me…Imu casted a spell and I turned into a dragon." She said as she started tearing up as she recounted everything.
Meanwhile I was clenching my fist, how could Imu do something like that to a friend? Was she so jealous that she'd revert to placing a spell upon someone she called a friend?!
"That's…horrible!" I say as she continued on, "and when I realized I killed the one I loved, I- I sealed myself away, hoping I'd die alone…but days turned to weeks, and weeks turned to months, then years…then decades…then I realized 200 years later, I couldn't die, and as despair took hold of me, I still remember the face that Imu had, the look of horror, and anger that followed…800 years have passed, yet I'm still alive, so you ask me why I'm sad, it's because even if I find someone again, I'll watch them die…over and over again… I just want to get away from this world, away from her, away from everything." She says before weeping again.
My heart was pounding, I could t help but feel sad for her, she loved someone and her friend turned her into a monster, and even as time passes she's afraid to seeing people die in front of her.
'Hey system…if I convinced her to become my own weapon, can you remove the immortal factor of her curse?'
[you cannot remove a curse involving lifespan, it will be with her always, but what I can do is modify her curse by linking her life to yours, that way if you die, she can die with you.]
As I hear the response I couldn't help but wonder if that would make her effectively immortal until I died, but I wonder, would she truly be happy with this arrangement?
[I have an 87 percent chance of her agreeing to become your weapon, but it shows a 95 percent chance of her agreeing if she hears me, what will you choose host?]
I turn to see the still weeping Kiyohime, and I lean forward and wrap my arms around her as I hug her, "if I said…I had a way to fix your immortality problem, and all you had to do was become my partner, would you take the offer?"
She looks at me as she stops crying, "if you could do that I'd become your partner in an instant." She says as I look her in the eyes and with a gentle smile, "then…would you become my partner?"

Well folks it's a short chapter, but what do you guys think? Was the idea of linking her life to Yuuji's a bit much or just the right call?
And if I do commit and have her life link to Yuuji's, should Yuuji also get a power boost considering she's a dragon?
I'll see you guys next week as you all comment your thoughts, peace 😁✌️
