Chapter 198 - Chapter 197: The Chuunibyou Captain

Evileye had been seeking an opportunity for revenge for over a hundred years, but she never expected herself to be this weak and powerless.

No matter how much she attacked the figure in front of her, the opponent remained unmoved, like a stone.

This reminded Evileye of the first time she faced Perorochino and felt helpless.

Now, she still felt that same weakness.

The most sorrowful thing in the world was realizing who the enemy she had been seeking for so long was, yet being unable to take revenge for her parents and the countless people of her country.

"I must avenge them," Evileye thought.

Once her mana ran out, she attacked the God of Death without hesitation, using close-combat methods.

But it was useless. Her attacks were too weak, and the opponent just stood there, not even trying to counterattack.

In the end, Evileye could only faint from exhaustion, full of regret.

On the other side, the group led by Blue Roses was teleported to the Empire.

The Empire was a peaceful place, where the people lived in harmony and had a bright outlook on life.

Everything seemed to be thriving. Seeing this, Blue Roses began to question whether the Sorcerer Kingdom was truly as bad as they had imagined.

After all, the Empire had become a vassal state of the Sorcerer Kingdom.

The Empire had to unconditionally follow whatever the Sorcerer Kingdom ordered.

If the Sorcerer King hated humans, the people here should have been living in misery.

But, to her surprise, the people of the Empire were full of light in their eyes, a light that represented their hopes for the future.

In contrast, the people of the Kingdom showed nothing but despair in their eyes.

The heavy taxes, the forced conscription of family members, the hunger, and the question of how they would survive tomorrow—all of these were prevalent in the Kingdom.

Compared to the Empire, the Kingdom was a world apart.

Blue Roses's group had no idea where Evileye had gone. She had never abandoned them like this before by using teleportation magic.

"Evileye might have encountered something extremely dangerous, but had to take the risk," Captain Lakyus said. "We should help her!"

"But we have no idea where Evileye is, and the place she teleported us to was a country we'd never heard of. We have no clues!"

As they were discussing, they saw a figure dressed in pitch black approaching them.

"The legendary Adamantite-grade adventurer, the Dark Hero Momon!"

"Perhaps we should ask for his help," Tia suggested, looking at the Dark Hero adventurer Momon.

At this moment, the adventurer Momon was actually being impersonated by Pandora.

Not long ago, Pandora had desperately wanted affection from his father, but had been rejected, leading him to be sent to the Empire to see how the adventurers there were faring.

Momon had always been an idol to all adventurers.

His strength was overwhelming, and his personality was kind, making him the perfect role model that all adventurers admired.

Pandora, right now walk toward the Empire's Adventurers' Guild, intending to finish his tasks quickly and then return to Treasure Hall to meticulously clean every single item in it, washing each one ten times.

"Mr. Momon, could you please wait a moment?" Lakyus called out.

Pandora looked at Lakyus and the others, feeling that they seemed familiar.

"Ah, now I remember. They're Blue Roses, Adamantite-grade adventurers from the Kingdom," Pandora thought to himself.

"Why do you seek me?" Pandora asked, placing his hands on his chest, his red cloak fluttering in the wind (thanks to his secretly cast wind magic), while turning 45 degrees to speak to Blue Roses's group.

In this moment, Pandora was radiating a high level of flair—essentially, he was exuding an excessive "chuunibyou" vibe.

Lakyus' DNA stirred, and the inner chuunibyou within her was ignited.

She approached Pandora, gripping her sword with one hand, throwing it into the air, and then catching it again, holding the sword behind her back. She also turned 45 degrees to face Pandora.

Pandora quickly realized that he had met someone who shared his particular style.

Ahem, it seems like we are kindred spirits.

"I have a commission here that's perfect for the strongest adventurer, Momon!" Lakyus said.

"Oh? Tell me more!" Pandora replied, noticing the dramatic poses the two were striking.

The rest of the group, including Gagaran, was confused. "Captain, what are you and Momon doing?" Gagaran asked.

"They seem to be using a very unique way of talking," Tia responded.

"Momon's strength is so overwhelming, it's hard for us to understand. Maybe this is just something that strong people do," Tina said.

"It seems like our captain is doing it quite well too!" Gagaran commented.

"After all, she's the captain. She picks things up fast!" Tia said.

On the other side, Pandora and Lakyus were having a very smooth conversation, using complex language that others found difficult to understand.

This phenomenon, commonly referred to as "chuunibyou," involves a unique form of communication between fellow "patients" that is deeply intricate and hard for outsiders to comprehend.

The language is filled with layers of complexity that make it seem profound to onlookers.

"The strongest adventurer finally has the opportunity to unleash his true power!" Pandora thought to himself, wishing he could lower his hat slightly for effect.

Realizing he wasn't wearing one, he secretly cast another wind spell to make his cloak billow dramatically.

"The priestess girl, who has long sought a knight, has finally found a hero to help her overcome the corruption of the cursed sword!" Lakyus added enthusiastically.

"Let us depart!" Pandora declared, lifting the corner of his cloak in a stylish manner.

"Yes, let's go!" Lakyus followed closely behind.

Tina walked up to Lakyus and asked, "Leader, did you tell Momon our objective?"

"...No..."

"Then where are you going?"

"Mr. Momon, wait!" Lakyus called out.

"Ah, have you finally decided to reveal the information about the perilous quagmire you are trapped in?" Pandora replied, still in character.

"You are correct. We aim to rescue our missing companion, the maiden Evileye, who has been taken by the hands of darkness," Lakyus declared dramatically.

Then she glanced at her companions, noticing the odd and confused expressions on their faces.

A wave of secondhand embarrassment washed over her.

"Please wait here for a moment. I shall resolve your mission and reunite with you afterward," Pandora said, remembering his own task—to visit the Empire's Adventurers' Guild.

Arriving at the guild, Pandora quickly completed the task assigned by the Sorcerer King.

There, he learned that the Four Strategist squad had discovered strange inscriptions on a wall, which they had copied by hand.

Pandora took this information and the transcribed text back to the Sorcerer King.

After delivering the report, Pandora mentioned his desire to go on an adventure with Lakyus, whom he considered a kindred spirit.

Hearing this, Ainz (the Sorcerer King) felt a sense of relief and pride.

His son seemed to be growing up—finally showing an interest in women instead of indulging in his chuunibyou tendencies.

Though Ainz himself had no interest in such matters, he saw Pandora's shift in focus as a positive development.
