EINAR STONBROL
The three of us stood at a stalemate, our eyes locked in a silent challenge. Then, without warning, Amy attacked, her movements swift and deadly. I dodged her kick, but not without feeling a jolt of pain.
"Not bad," I praised her, pushing her back. But before I could catch my breath, Jack charged forward, his fists flying in a flurry of punches. I blocked them, but I could tell he was strong, despite his lean athletic build.
A duo consisting both strength and speed not bad.
The two of them attacked simultaneously, their movements a perfect blend of fire and air magic. I stumbled backward, struggling to keep up with their relentless assault. They were a formidable team, their skills honed to perfection.
"Dammit," I cursed, releasing a wind-based spell to create some distance between us. Jack grinned, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
"You're managing pretty well," he said, his voice dripping with condescension.
I glared at him, my anger simmering just below the surface. "Well, what can I say? I'm special," I replied, my voice laced with mockery.
Amy rolled her eyes, her expression amused.
"So, who exactly is in charge of this
operation? Cause i know too well you two arent smart enough to pull off something like this, it requires a functioning brain after all" I said, trying to provoke them.
Jack's face darkened, his frustration boiling over. "Are you calling us stupid?" he snapped.
I shrugged, my expression innocent. "Nooo... I'm saying you're not smart," I said, tapping my forehead.
Jack's face turned red with rage, and he charged forward without thinking. I dodged his attack and pinned him down and finally using earth magic to trap him.
Amy sighed, her expression annoyed. "That moron," she muttered.
But then, she attacked, her movements a blur of speed and agility. I stumbled backward, struggling to keep up with her relentless assault.
Her flexible body allowed her to perform attacks I didn't even know were possible. Her mastery of martial arts kept me on my toes, and I couldn't let my guard down for a moment.
"You're not half bad," she said, her voice dripping with admiration.
I gritted my teeth, my anger simmering just below the surface. "You're not bad yourself," I admitted, trying to adjust to her movements.
But then, her knee met my rib, and I felt a sharp pain. She grabbed me by my hair and threw me across the hall, slamming me into the wall.
I tried to get to my feet, but she attacked again, unleashing a sonic scream that made my eardrums cry out for mercy. I covered my ears, but the pain was unbearable.
And then, she stopped. "You look like crap, buddy," she said, her voice dripping with amusement.
I felt blood dripping from my left ear, where my eardrum had now been completely damaged leaving me with only one functioning ear.
So this is the power of ultrasound attribute.
She then used her attribute once more to free her imprisoned comrade. I couldn't help but hate her and at the same time admire her for her strength.
I glared at her, my anger bubbling up just below the surface . But before I could try to retaliate, Maxwell Lè Bonderee appeared, his face serious.
"Enough playing around," he said, his voice dripping with authority.
Amy and Jack exchanged a glance, and then they left, disappearing into the shadows. Maxwell turned to me, his eyes cold and calculating.
"I'll kill you personally," he said, his voice dripping with bloodlust.
Out of my own curiosity I decided to indulge him with a question.
"So mind telling me why your doing all this?"I asked trying to stop the Blood dripping from my ear.
Well you see..,"he begun his voice calm as he took a seat directly opposite from me.
"This isn't anything personal. The royal family may have accepted you and treated you as thier own but that alone is a sign of weakness in the elven empire.
The fact that the king is capable of accepting a lesser race such as yourself under his roof shows how ignorant and naive he is. And...so we the nobles will overthrow the royal family and govern Zouran the way it's supposed to be governed," he said with a straight face you'd think it's a joke.
As he spoke I couldn't help but get irritated but his self righteous bullshit. Was he really going to justify racism by blaming it all on Gosu and his kindness.
"And once you take Zouran, what will you do?" I asked him trying to conceal the anger in my voice.
"Human extermination.." he says his voice overflowing with hatred.
This guy must be crazy does he really think he can take on the human race with a handful of nobles backing hum up.
"I'm certain your tiny little human mind can't comprehend what I mean, your probably thinking how is he going to exterminate the human race with a handful of nobles,"he said as he reached for his pocket.
"With this.." ,he pulled out a handful of enhancement pills,"with these pills the elves will be unstoppable."
He said returning them back to his pocket and going further justifying his ambitions if mass genocide.
"You sure must hate humans, huh?" I asked as joke, giving a falsed chuckle. But to no emotional response. "Hate Is a small word, I despise your race with the at most passion..if it were up to me you humans wouldn't exist to begin with,"he concluded getting to his feet.
Damn this guy is probably the biggest racist I've ever met. He then looked at an item that was contained in his palm and gave a faint smile.
"It's about time.." he whispered beneath his breath.
And with that, he plunged a blade of solid blood into my chest. I felt a wave of pain wash over me, and my vision began to blur.
This reminds me of the first time I died, I thought, my mind numb with pain.
My mind now numb to existence itself...
ZURIA ELENFOND
I looked up, and a massive explosion had erupted at the center of the arena. "What's happening?" Lyra exclaimed, her voice panicked.
A thick dust covered the arena, and all I could hear were the voices of my citizens in panic. Once the dust cleared, I heard a loud voice coming from the arena.
"Greetings, my Elven brethren," he exclaimed. I looked closer and saw one-third of the nobles who sat on the royal council, all dressed in black blasphemous robes.
And heading this group was none other than the head of the Bonderee family, Leonardo LèBonderee. Nobleman Bonderee spoke, his voice dripping with conviction.
"My brethren, today I stand before you not as a threat but as a revolutionary. Our king has betrayed us and once more allowed a human to live among us. Surely I need not remind you what took place long before when a human lived among us."
The crowd murmured, their faces filled with a mix of anger and fear.
"Two years ago, the King allowed another such lesser being to live among us. Not learning from his previous mistakes has he no shame.
And so today, I and my comrades will retake Zouran and restore it to its glory," he concluded, his voice dripping with conviction.
The crowd erupted into cheers, their faces filled with a mix of excitement and anger.
No sooner had the royal guard arrived, led by Reynod. The twelve most skilled warriors in Zouran had assembled to put an end to this nonsense. "Way to go, Reynod, put him in his place," I cheered them on.
Reynod and his soldiers stood strong, their eyes fixed on the nobles. "Men, attack," Reynod ordered his guard.
But instead of attacking the nobles, the guard turned on Reynod, their swords clashing in a flurry of steel. Reynod's eyes widened in shock as he defended himself against his own men.
Fortunately, due to his great skill, he was able to deflect their attacks, but he was clearly stunned by the sudden turn of events. The twelve warriors then attended to the nobles, who were leading this rebellion.
Leonardo's face sparkled with amusement, knowing he had an advantage. Reynod may hold the title of the strongest warrior in Zouran, but even he would find it difficult to face twelve opponents who were nearly on par with him.
This was bad. Extremely bad. Where are you, Einar? I thought, my mind racing with worry.
As I watched the chaos unfold, I knew I had to act fast. I turned to Lyra, my voice urgent. "We need to get everyone out of here, now."
Lyra nodded, her eyes wide with fear. "But what about Einar?" she asked.
I gritted my teeth, my jaw clenched in determination. "I'll find him. Just do what i have asked of you please."
Lyra who was aided by Kaiden were bow leading the evacuation of the citizens, I knew that an all out battle were to begin ut would end in the loss of many lives and as this kingdom's future Queen it was my duty to safe guard my people.
But with already half of the crowd losing faith in the monarchy, would be easier than done.
