Chapter 273: Chinjao's Misfortune

New World!

"Boss! The mast has been destroyed!"

A cannonball landed perfectly, blowing apart the main mast.

Chinjao's expression darkened as he stared at the wreckage.

It had been an entire day and night.

That damn warship had been chasing them nonstop, like a rabid dog that refused to give up.

Out of his original seven ships, only three remained.

Five years of hard work—all gone overnight.

Chinjao's rage and frustration were beyond words.

"Ahahaha! Chinjao, don't run! Come and taste my Iron Fist!"

"You're the so-called Drill Head Chinjao, right? Let's see which is harder—your head or my fist!"

"If you win, I'll let you go!"

Garp stood at the bow of his warship, laughing maniacally, hurling cannonballs with his bare hands.

But after an entire day of this chase, his stock of cannonballs was running low.

"Bastard!"

Hearing Garp's taunts, Chinjao's anger boiled over.

Suddenly, he spotted a small island ahead.

"Head for that island!"

"I'm going to settle this with Garp once and for all!"

"I want to see if my Drill Head is harder than his Iron Fist!"

His crew hesitated for a moment but quickly obeyed.

"Yes, Boss!"

The Happo Navy fleet changed course, heading straight for the island.

At the same time, Garp grinned.

"Heh! The bait worked!"

"Follow them!"

The warship quickly closed in.

After landing, both sides disembarked, standing on opposite ends of the shore.

The Happo Navy and the Marines faced each other, weapons at the ready, tensions high.

A single wrong move could ignite an all-out battle.

Garp stepped forward, cracking his knuckles.

"Chinjao, today, I'm going to flatten that head of yours!"

Chinjao laughed wildly.

"Yahhahahaha! Your fists? Don't make me laugh!"

"There's nothing in this world harder than my head!"

"Even if Rockefeller Charlotte himself were here, he wouldn't be able to break my drill!"

(Charlotte: Want me to try again?)

Five years ago, Charlotte had left a deep scar on Chinjao's head but hadn't completely broken it.

Hearing Chinjao's boasting, Garp glanced at the scar on his opponent's forehead.

Then, he smirked.

"Let's put it to the test!"

Garp's fist clenched, Armament Haki coating it instantly.

Lightning from his Conqueror's Haki crackled around his knuckles.

He charged forward.

"I'll smash your so-called invincible head!"

Chinjao did the same.

"And I'll pierce right through your so-called Iron Fist!"

His drill head shone with blackened Haki, his entire body surging forward.

BOOM!

The two clashed violently, head against fist.

Conqueror's Haki erupted, splitting the sky in half.

The shockwave blasted outward, shaking both fleets.

Soldiers from both sides were sent flying, struggling to stand their ground.

The docked ships rocked violently, nearly capsizing.

Sweat dripped down Chinjao's face.

Despite his best efforts, Garp refused to budge.

Meanwhile, Garp's fist kept pressing forward.

"Damn it!"

Chinjao gritted his teeth.

He could feel his drill head being pushed inward.

Then—

CRACK!

His legendary drill head collapsed inward.

His entire body buckled, his knees hitting the ground.

His eyes bulged, unable to comprehend what had just happened.

"Boss!"

The Happo Navy screamed in horror.

"We won!"

The Marines erupted in cheers!

Garp stretched his shoulders and grinned.

"Guess we know which is stronger now, huh?"

Chinjao lay there, motionless, his head completely flat.

Garp grabbed him by the collar, dragging his unconscious body onto the warship.

"Arrest them all!"

The Marines charged in, quickly overwhelming Chinjao's remaining forces.

The battle was over within minutes.

Garp set sail, carrying Chinjao back to Marineford.

As news spread, the world reacted.

Marine Headquarters—Fleet Admiral's Office

"Now that Chinjao has been captured, what do you all think?"

Fleet Admiral Kong glanced at the latest intelligence report.

The gathered Marine officers exchanged glances.

Chinjao wasn't just some nobody.

He was a pirate who had escaped from Sengoku.

He had even survived a battle with Charlotte.

Most pirates who faced Charlotte never came back.

But Chinjao had.

And now, he had been taken down by Garp.

One vice admiral stood up.

"Fleet Admiral! I suggest we publicly execute him!"

Kong glanced at him but didn't respond.

Instead, he looked at Tsuru.

Tsuru, the Navy's great tactician, tapped the table gently.

"We just received a directive from the World Government."

"They want us to return Chinjao to the Flower Kingdom."

The room exploded into outrage.

"What?!"

"That's ridiculous!"

"We lost good men capturing him!"

"And now they want to let him go?!"

Kong raised a hand, silencing the room.

"Chinjao isn't just a pirate."

"He has deep ties to the Flower Kingdom, which is a World Government member state."

"They've negotiated his release."

"But don't worry."

"If he ever sets sail as a pirate again… he's dead."

Hearing this, the Marines reluctantly accepted the decision.

"Remove Chinjao's bounty."

Kong turned to a different file.

"Now… let's talk about the Red Count."

"According to Garp, Redfield is as strong as he is."

"We need to reassess his bounty."
