Delphinia sat in the bride's waiting room, her hands resting lightly on the folds of her gown. The fabric was soft against her fingertips, delicate lace trailing over her wrists. A deep breath rose in her chest, excitement and nerves intertwining in the pit of her stomach. She was getting married—again, but this time, not out of convenience, not for obligation. This time, it was out of love.
"Oh my God, Delphinia!" Valerie's voice cut through the air as she clasped her hands together in delight. "You look absolutely breathtaking!"
Delphinia turned, meeting Valerie's wide, sparkling eyes in the mirror. A small smile played on her lips. "You really think so?"
"Think so? I know so! Evander is going to lose his mind when he sees you walking down that aisle." Valerie leaned forward, adjusting a few strands of Delphinia's hair. "You're glowing."
