Kim Hyun's eyes gleamed with a mixture of calculation and desperation as he slowly raised his hands in surrender. Unbeknownst to Dave, he was secretly summoning about 300 beasts he'd previously tamed but were spread out across the city.
He gave them order to converge on his location. It would take a little while for them to arrive, but Kim Hyun had intended to use that time to stall Dave.
"Before you do whatever you want to do to me, I have a question," Kim Hyun said, his voice laced with a hint of curiosity. "What's your relationship with Kim Sun? I noticed she cares a lot about you. Why?"
Dave's sword remained pointed at Kim Hyun's neck, but he didn't flinch as he replied, "She's my school principal, are you done?"
