> Mobile Suit Gundam Nova <
July 3rd / I.J.C. 196 / New Orleans/ Ottoman's private training ground.
'
"This is amazing…" Looking toward the giant in front of me, a real Mobile suit, not a civilian, but a real Military use mobile suit, armed with a weapon and Combat Data, along with a Fire core that would allow it to synchronize with the weapon imprint far easier….
"This is just the tip of an Ice berk, this one is an outdated model, not really seen much use outside of training, that's why I was able to snatch this thing away from the base," Stephan said, taking the suitcase from one of his men, and hand it to me roughly.
"Go and get a change. If you don't have those on, your ride will be too bumpy." He said with a grin that he was up to no good.
When I opened up the suitcase, inside was an OrbSuit. An exoskeleton suit used to control movement in space is a costly thing; just one of these standard issues would cost each around 10k credits alone, and he has this, specially modified to my size? One that would continue to grow?
"You got too much money lying around," I said before taking the suitcase toward the changing room, followed by the two maids who have been assigned to me since my coming here, and they don't and won't leave my side even for a little bit outside of my private time which gets annoying fast.
"You two are dismissed," I said, simply getting too used to saying this to my liking, just a week and I already treated them like this. Well, it was part of the role I'd been given so I wouldn't complain much.
"We afraid we can't-" Just as the older girl is about to deny my word, I simply slam the door shut and lock it, I could hear the older one banging on the door, screaming My lady and desperately begging me to open it, which I didn't for she is the one who been troubling me the most.
Hanya Zuloung, a Chinese Pilot who was glued to me the moment we met, was quite…overwhelming, to the point it was getting too annoying. From the moment we met a week ago, she has been constantly glued to me like an annoying itch that wouldn't go away.
Compared to her, my other escort was much better, Jena Kross. She was keeping to herself most of the time, and kept her distance. She was a mechanic, who worked on mostly mobile suits, which intrigued me a bit.
Sighing, I looked over at the OrbSuit that was exactly my size, on the chest area, I could see the symbol, ECSF, Earth's Conglomerate Space Force displayed on the chest area. "Tch…" Putting it on wasn't much of a problem, it was designed to be easy to put on, and the helmet that came with it was quite something, the design was a bit too light for my taste, but I could see how practical it is, putting it on as I feel it envelope my head, I look down onto my wrist, there was a control panel there, for most of the things this suit offer, quickly fiddle with the control, I found the one for my helmet control.
The moment, my helmet closed, oxygen immediately got cut off but soon returned as I felt I could breathe again, gotta got used to this, there are compact oxygen generator on the back, along with a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery, which makes the output far lower than the normal Lithium Ion Battery, but far safer and stable, plus it live for longer too, at least I would have around 5 hours of oxygen to go one if I were to get lost in space.
Opening my helmet, I was met with fresh air without a scent of salt. I unlocked the door and stepped back, and just like I thought, it swung open with so much force that it made a loud bang.
"My lady! Are you ok!? Are you having trouble with the suit?! Did it fit you? Do we need to remeasure it!?" Hanya screamed at the top of her lungs as she scanned me from head to toe. I just quietly let her do their thing before handing over the suitcase to Jena, who quietly took it.
Walking toward the training ground, I could see Hemston on the rail with Stephan and one of the mechanics adjusting some settings on the cockpit of the suit. Taking the lift, I got up toward the railing where the cockpit was, Hemston, attentive that he is, immediately noticed me and gave me a light respectful nod, one which I returned, as for Stephan he simply stared off into space only come back to his sense after Hemston whisper into his ear.
"You finally-...Why aren't you in the Suit, Hanya?" Stephan's face immediately turns to a frown when he sees that Hanya is still in a maid uniform.
"Eh? Ah…AHH! I WILL GO CHANGE NOW!" Jumping down a flight of stairs in her maid uniform, she landed right on the floor with a light thud and immediately ran for the changing room.
"She is quite impressive…" Her sheer agility alone would make for a fine athlete, could probably win a few medals under her name, hell, maybe go for world champion?
"Ey, but that personality of hers is a problem. Anyway, I got the last-minute preparation for you ready, this will not be anything like the simulation I had you train during the past week, so expect the worst of headache. Also, there is a surprise for you inside." Stephan said with his smirk, one that made me feel uncomfortable.
"Whatever." Walking past him, Hemston makes way for me, and I am in front of the cockpit. The mechanic inside looks up and is startled at my stare before bowing lightly and moving away…Did I put on a hard stare? Huh…Seems my emotion leaked out when I was talking with Stephan…have to work on that soon…
I jump into the cockpit, and I soon notice something. Besides my usual seat, there are arrangements that I ask to be made to suit my needs, the first being the joystick, a round top with various buttons on the front and side, accessed by using my finger.
The seat was adjusted to my size, and there was no belt, but inside the cushion was a magnet that would react to my OrbSuit, pulling me into the seat. Quickly sitting down, I notice the third change, one of which I do not know.
In front of my seat, there was a round hole with a USB port on it, the size was eerily familiar…
[Yoha! Yoha!] Suddenly, I could feel a weight on my thigh. Haro jumped out of nowhere and landed on my lap.
"What are you doing here, Haro?" I could feel my voice softening at the sight of him, since I put him back in my room, he shouldn't be here at all.
"That would be my work, I have my people install a combat program onto him, making him quite a good AI assistant."
"You did WHAT!?" I almost jumped up had it not been for Haro on my lap. "You bastard! I told you not to mess with my creation! I don't make them so they can assist me in-…killing people!" I scream out, raging at the fact that the man in front of me dared to touch one of my beloved creations.
"So? At the end of the day, it is still just a machine, a machine exists to serve a purpose, I simply changed its purpose that was all. Now stop whining like a kid and get moving. Also, I put a lock on the program. If you think you can simply hack your way through our security, feel free to try." With a smirk, Stephan simply left with Hemston.
The anger I felt was at its raging point, to the point of me almost breaking down again. "Stephan! You come back here! You bastard!" I put Haro aside and rushed out, only to break myself in order not to hit the wall. The cockpit was closing without my command, and the control panel on my writing won't open the damn cockpit!
"Bastard! Why is he always like this!? Grah!" The loud bang echoes through the cockpit room as my hand feels like it is going to explode from punching the fricking metal wall.
"Fucking! Bastard!!!" Urgh…. "ha…Calm down…Yoha…Calm down… You can fix this… Right, it just hacking into one of the most secure networks, fuck-urgh!"
I should not have kicked the fucking wall, Gruh! "Haa…Alright…I am calm, I am calm…"
[Yoha! Hurt? Hurt?] Haro asks worriedly as he rolls around the cramped room.
"No, don't worry, Haro." Forcefully calming myself down, I sit in the Pilot seat as I feel my head aching from pain. It has happened a lot lately. I take out the pill I have put in the OrbSuit just in case, I drown two of them, feeling the bitter pill make its way down to my stomach.
"Blergh…freaking bitter…" Feeling my head clear, I looked in front. Haro was sitting on my lap, and the holder was in front of me, my emotions almost ran rampant again, thinking about i,t but I quickly stopped myself from bad thoughts.
"Let's do some quick setup." Looking over the screen, I brought one of the side panels closer and pulled out the keyboard on my seat up, and began looking through various settings.
My eyes scan through everything in a minute, and I push the side panel aside. "Alright…Let's do this." Using the control panel on my left hand, I press the activation key immediately, and the wall of the mobile suit, which uses the old monitor, shows me only the side and the front.
Immediately, a line of code appears as I scan through each of them, just as I am scanning through the line of code that appears, haro suddenly jumps out of my lap into the port.
"Haro!" When I try to pull him out, I realize that he's deeply connected to the port. If I roughly pull him out, I might damage him.
Just as I was staring at Hara in bafflement, the line of code disappeared from the screen; instead, there was a single Logo of Haro appearing on the left side.
[Core Systems, online. Propulsion Engine, green. Weapon System, green. Neural Link, synchronized. Armor Integrity, stable. OS Check, passed. All systems green — Denslive ready for deployment.]
Haro, instead of the usual, cheerful mechanical voice that I designed for him, now it was cold, as if he were only just a machine designed to hurt people.
"...I will kill that bastard one day…" Muttering out darkly, I sit down on the seat roughly, my hand grabbing the joystick roughly, trembling with anger.
Looking through the monitor, I could see Stephan and hemston staring at me, my hand immediately moved as the screen focused and zoomed onto Stephan. He was grinning like mad…
My anger rises, but I control it, just enough that I can't do something I will regret later, even if it would be satisfying, and Mama would hate it, she would hate me if I did something like that…
"...haa…" With my control panel on my right, I raise the railing up. "Yoha Seres Ottoman." The new name that I have been given reminds me of my grim situation. "Denslive, Launching."
