Back home, after the three of them had dinner, Charlotte kept chattering about school affairs. Although she was somewhat clinging to James, with Gina around, she didn't go too far.
At nine-thirty, James grabbed the keys and said, "Alright, you guys go to sleep, I'm heading to bed too."
"Where are you going?" Charlotte and Gina asked in unison.
James lifted the keys in his hand and said, "I don't want to sleep on the couch again, I'm going to stay at Emily's place next door."
Charlotte was quite familiar with Emily and didn't see anything inappropriate with it, but Gina frowned and said, "You're going to stay at a girl's house without her permission?"
James smiled faintly and replied, "If you think it's inadvisable, then you go stay at her place."
Charlotte immediately nodded vigorously, saying, "That's right, it wouldn't be bad for Sister Gina to stay there."
