Victor stood at the edge of the crumbled platform, overlooking the wide terrain.
His blue eyes scanned the area with calm calculation.
"So this is the place we'll be fighting."
Varen crossed his arms, standing a few meters behind him.
"Yeah. This is it."
Victor turned slightly. "And they're not here yet?"
Varen clicked his tongue.
"No. It's barely past four in the morning. They said sunrise."
He glanced toward the faint glow building on the horizon.
"Technically, they're not late."
Victor's lip curled into a faint smirk.
"How punctual of them."
He turned back toward the field, then looked at the massive black containment cage set behind their staging platform.
Reinforced chains crisscrossed the cage walls, runes glowing faintly with containment seals.
Victor stepped closer to it, eyes focused.
"I really want to see how strong it's become…"
He placed one gloved hand against the cold metal of the cage.
