The date with Theresa involved proper eating, shopping, and whenever the occasion seemed right, finding an excuse to forcibly put the Captain into Sage Mode.
By evening, Theresa's legs were trembling as she put on her white thigh-high stockings. She hadn't expected the Moonlight battlesuit to grant the Captain such a potent attack speed buff and endurance buff.
Looking at the Captain sleeping soundly on the bed, hugging a pillow, she felt a little indignant. She had clearly inflicted the Sage Mode buff on him multiple times during the anime convention, so how was his ammunition reservoir still so full?
Her body really couldn't take much more. The Captain was simply too despicable; even when she climaxed, he didn't stop in the slightest. When she and Himeko teamed up to subdue the Captain, she hadn't felt it, but now that she was alone, she actually found herself somewhat lacking the strength?
Truly worthy of being the Captain, exceptionally talented in everything he did. To think he even grew so rapidly in this kind of thing.
She wanted to go to the restroom but her legs were so weak that even standing was difficult.
But she really had to go now. She had already exerted all her effort to hold it in during the process; now, she felt like every step she took stimulated her bladder.
Ring ring ring~~~~
Just as Theresa tried to stand up, the phone beside her rang. Theresa picked it up and saw it was Amber calling.
No need to guess, eight out of ten times it was to drag her back to work.
Since it was the first year after the end of the Honkai, currently a critical period for post-disaster reconstruction and revitalization, workloads worldwide had increased.
And Schicksal, as the world's sole officially designated organization capable of directly confronting (or absorbing) Herrscher-level disasters, had a frighteningly large workload. As the Overseer, she hadn't returned to headquarters for four days, ever since the Captain's death anniversary. Amber's processor had probably overloaded again.
"But calling at two in the morning... I'll just ignore it."
Just as Theresa thought this, a hand groped her white-stockinged thigh, while another snatched her phone.
"Theresa, how can you do this?" Jun An, having recovered on the bed, saw the correct posture, the correct plot unfolding, and immediately felt revitalized.
"You're the Overseer of Schicksal, how can you slack off?"
Theresa never would have expected it. She just didn't want to leave the living room bare-assed, but she hadn't thought wearing only stockings would actually energize the Captain again.
She turned her head to look, confirming it was the Captain pressing against her. She was incredulous.
Who was the MANTIS here?!
"Captain! What are you doing!"
Theresa was already in an awkward pose leaning against the wall; now she was directly pressed against it. The Captain nearly snatched her phone away, but in the confusion, the answer key was pressed instead.
Amber's voice came from the other side of the phone. "Lord Theresa, you finally answered the phone."
"Am-Amber!" She didn't want increased workload right now, and more importantly – she really couldn't hold it anymore. It was much harder for women to hold their pee than men.
Theresa wanted to hang up, but the Captain grabbed her other hand. Her small fingers couldn't reach the phone's hang-up button; she could only touch the microphone area.
"Can you wait a moment? Just a moment, I can meow, okay?" Theresa tried her best to cover the microphone with one hand and soothe the Captain's mood in a low voice. She was the esteemed Overseer of Schicksal! How could she leak in front of the Captain and Amber?
"Let me finish using the restroom first, okay?"
"No," Jun An ignored Theresa. "I can make you meow right now, why wait?"
"Wai— Eh~"
However, a voice also came from Amber's side.
"It's me, Lord Theresa." Amber greeted her. "I hope you are well."
Theresa struggled to maintain composure. "Amber, ah, is there something... mm... can we talk about it to-tomorrow? Look, it's already so... late~ outside~"
To prove her words, Theresa even aimed the camera towards the window, simultaneously avoiding getting the Captain in the frame. After all, if the Captain appeared, nothing could be hidden.
"Apologies, I forgot about the time difference." Amber was at Schicksal HQ in Europe, while Theresa was currently in the Far East Branch. There was a seven or eight-hour time difference. It was two or three in the morning here, but only around ten PM there.
"But please don't hang up. This time it's not about work." Amber seemed very afraid Theresa would hang up out of annoyance and quickly stated the purpose of the call. "This time, it's Lady Cecilia and Lord Siegfried. They've returned from their trip and wish to speak with you."
"Hey! Theresa, long time no see! Did you miss me?" Cecilia's voice suddenly came through the phone.
"Ce-Cecilia!?"
The moment she heard that voice, Theresa's entire body involuntarily tensed up. Even the Captain's body stiffened unconsciously, his expression showing some pain.
Cecilia Schariac. Ten years ago, Schicksal's strongest Valkyrie, and the only S-rank Valkyrie at the time. Theresa's sworn sister, and her sole, designated White Moonlight.
For her and her daughter Kiana, Theresa had even been willing to fall out with her grandfather Otto, whom she had lived with for many years. Although it ultimately only amounted to running away from home and starting her own venture, it was enough to prove Cecilia's status in Theresa's heart.
"Mhm, surprised, right?" Because of Theresa's strenuous efforts to conceal things, Cecilia didn't notice anything unusual on the other side and continued, "Siegfried and I originally wanted to give you a surprise when we got back from our trip, I didn't expect you wouldn't be at Schicksal HQ."
Siegfried looked at the pitch-black window outside and asked, "Theresa, why are you pointing your phone at the window? And why is it shaking so much? Are you clubbing?"
"Get lost!" Theresa bit her lip, her body trembling so much she wanted to sit down immediately, but someone was holding her waist.
Because she was in front of her White Moonlight, Theresa just wanted to quickly hang up the phone and go to the restroom.
She struggled to move the hand supporting her against the wall, wanting to rely on her powerful physical constitution to maintain balance. However, she overestimated herself. Her whole body couldn't maintain balance and collapsed, her legs completely powerless. If the Captain hadn't been supporting her waist, she probably would have fallen flat on her face.
But just from that stumble, the phone fell to the side.
Siegfried: "Hm, the screen isn't shaking anymore. It's just showing the ceiling now."
Cecilia nudged Siegfried with her elbow and asked with concern, "Theresa, what happened?"
With the phone tossed aside, Theresa wanted to reach out and end the video call, but her weak legs only allowed her to crawl on the floor, her waist held by the Captain.
"I'm fine~ Mm~ Fine..."
So close, her fingers were just a tiny bit away. Even leaning forward until she was prone on the floor, her butt sticking up towards the sky, she was still just that tiny bit short, just that little bit.
"Are you really okay?" Cecilia sounded worried. "Maybe show your face so I can see?"
"Sorry, I'm not really presentable right now." Theresa responded with difficulty. "Maybe we can wrap it up here for today? I'm really getting sleepy..."
Siegfried: "But your voice sounds really energetic."
Theresa wanted to kill this insensitive clod right then and there. Cecilia, however, acted first, kicking her husband away. "Go play your games, don't butt in here. Didn't you hear what Theresa said?"
The henpecked Siegfried had no choice but to obey, but Cecilia added, "Don't use the HQ computers to play games."
So Siegfried could only walk away, dejected.
Cecilia's attention returned to Theresa's side, her face full of worry. "Theresa, tell me quietly, do you need me to come over? Sirin is right here at HQ, she can provide support anytime."
Although Cecilia had a somewhat ethereal, out-of-touch-with-the-world quality, she was undoubtedly intelligent. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been the first to notice something was wrong when trapped in Sirin's fabricated environment during the Second Honkai Eruption.
But the Captain was still making mischief beside her. "If you don't try harder, you'll be exposed."
And whose fault do you think that is! If you know I'll be exposed, then stop!
What happens if Sirin actually comes over?!
That's my grand-niece!
The mere thought of this possibility made Theresa tense up all over, terrified that Sirin might actually bring Cecilia and suddenly appear right in front of them.
"N-No, I'm fine!" Theresa finally showed her face, her smile somewhat forced. "I just got bumped accidentally just now, hit my stomach, it just hurts a little..."
"Is that so." Cecilia sighed in relief. "I overreacted too. Right, this is the Far East Branch, how could you possibly be coerced?"
Indeed, the Far East Branch was practically the Valkyries' main nest. Setting aside the Herrscher who came from there, just Theresa's personal combat strength alone – she had devoured a small shadow of Finality – meant there were very few people in the world who could beat her. And those who could beat her were all her students.
Who could possibly beat her to the ground, rendering her afraid to even breathe heavily? If such a person existed, it would definitely just be some minor squabble between Theresa and one of her rebellious disciples.
Seeing Theresa tremble slightly from discomfort, her expression then became much more natural, like the sudden release after being tickled.
Perhaps, Cecilia thought, Theresa was currently playing Truth or Dare and having a blast.
"It's great to see you're still so spirited." Cecilia said, "I was worried you'd still be heartbroken these past couple of days because of the Captain's anniversary. That's why I planned to come back and comfort you."
"Hahaha, thank you for your concern." Theresa forced a laugh. "I'll be back at HQ in a couple of days. If there's nothing else, I'll hang up first."
Theresa quickly ended the call. Looking down at the warm, wet white stockings, there was a puddle on the floor, a mixture of yellow and white liquid. The white part shouldn't have been that much, but because she had lost control, she couldn't quite control her body.
Her eyes filled with shame and anger, Theresa glared at the Captain behind her and charged directly at him.
"Captain! This old lady's gonna kill you!"
