Chapter - 15: Slice of life

------

Kisuke Urahara POV

"He's gone," Yoruichi declared, her tone vaguely amused as she crossed her arms. Around us, the silence was almost awkward, considering no one had the chance to stop him or even ask for an explanation—he had only said he'd be late for dinner before disappearing.

"I know," I replied, letting Tessai continue tending to my wounds. The shop's room was wrapped in a muffled atmosphere, interrupted only by the sound of Kaidō, the green spiritual energy pulsing in his palms as he facilitated my recovery.

When using healing Kidō, the first thing restored is Reiatsu. Only afterward, by harnessing both the recovered energy of the patient and the external energy of the healer, can the body begin to regenerate.

I felt the process coursing through me, familiar and yet always strangely uncomfortable, as if my body were caught between relief and the lingering memory of pain.

I ran my fingers along the edges of the still-open wounds, feeling the dull ache of bruises and the sharp sting of cuts left by the last blows. Each touch was a reminder of the battle I had just finished, the split-second decisions I had made, and, most of all, the crushing pressure of that final attack.

My Blood Shield—Benihime's most powerful defensive technique, which had never before cracked so easily—had shattered under the sheer physical force of a teenager.

And yet, as much as I should have been irritated, I felt no frustration. Quite the opposite. I couldn't deny that he had far exceeded my expectations, and that stirred an excitement within me that I hadn't felt burning in a long time.

Then, there were his wings.

That wasn't something an ordinary Quincy should have been able to manifest. Thinking back to the battle and the ancient writings of the Soul Society, I realized their form too closely resembled the limbs of the Soul King.

A power that governs evolution and another that enforces stagnation.

Was it possible that Ichigo's wings were manifesting these two forces? That his power was the intersection between change and immobility?

As if all that wasn't enough, there had been that vision.

For an instant, I had seen a colossal dragon, so immense that mountains seemed minuscule in comparison.

Its dark wings spread majestically, streaked with pulsating violet lines of an energy I couldn't identify—it was clearly not Reiryoku.

What struck me even more was its appearance: its body wasn't entirely organic. It seemed partially mechanical, with components seamlessly embedded into its structure, as if it were a hybrid creature—an ancient being fused with modern weaponry.

Symbols were etched into its wings: an emblem resembling a shield and Roman numerals ranging from two to thirteen, as if they held a meaning that eluded me.

Its claws, sharp as blades, looked capable of leveling entire buildings with a single strike. Its black, gleaming armor gave me the honest impression that even Kenpachi wouldn't be able to leave so much as a scratch.

But what unsettled me the most were its eyes.

They weren't just the eyes of a beast. There was something colder, more calculating in that gaze. It stared at me with an almost human awareness, analyzing me as if it were judging my very existence.

And the verdict had already been passed: I was nothing more than an insect in its path.

Of course, I knew that creatures like this existed in the world. Or at least, some had been recorded and monitored by the Western Division of the Soul Society.

The purpose of this division had always been considered irrelevant compared to the Thirteen Court Guard Squads, but one thing was certain: they dealt with spiritual anomalies called dragons.

But what did any of this have to do with Ichigo?

"You're way too calm for someone who just got sent flying," Yoruichi remarked, arms crossed, her usual amused smirk playing on her lips.

"That doesn't happen often," I admitted, tilting my head slightly. "And when it does, there's always something interesting to learn."

"I should've stopped the fight sooner," Yoruichi said, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "But I have to admit, seeing you get wrecked by a kid who isn't even fifteen is pretty damn entertaining."

It had been a while since she had this much material to tease me with. "Just a few scratches, nothing serious," I murmured, though the pulsing pain in my side made me clench my teeth slightly.

"You always say that," Tessai commented flatly, his skilled hands continuing their work without hesitation. "But you know full well how much you're risking with that reckless attitude of yours."

"Reckless? I prefer to call it a calculated risk," I replied, a faint smile tugging at my lips.

Tessai didn't respond, merely finishing his work with his usual meticulousness. The soft hum of healing energy filled the room as I closed my eyes for a moment, allowing myself to bask in the relief spreading through my body.

"That was a good fight," I said after a while, breaking the silence. "It made me realize just how much we've underestimated Ichigo. At this rate, in a few years—maybe even less—he could reach the level of the Royal Guard."

His potential was terrifying, and if he was already capable of facing me at this level… then the future would be far more terrifying than anticipated.

Yoruichi shrugged. "If you say so, then it's probably true. But he left before we could arrange a second match. Should I…?"

"Yes," I answered before she could finish. "Keep an eye on him. If his powers continue to grow at this pace, he'll attract a lot of attention. And it shouldn't be too difficult, considering that, from what I've seen, he gets along well with a lot of people."

"Well, he's a fun kid, and he clearly has good taste," she mused, a note of mischief in her voice as she gestured to herself with a smug smile. "Honestly, with a body like this, I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to come back here and spend more time with me."

Her voice carried that confident tone that left no room for doubt, and I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, amused by her certainty. "Oh? So you think there could be something between you two? Honestly, it'd be hilarious to see Isshin's reaction," I said, trying to sound indifferent. But beneath the surface, I knew there was a lot more behind those words.

Yoruichi stepped closer, her smirk widening, but her eyes held a serious glint. "Who knows? But if he keeps growing this fast, I might just consider it."

Well, at least she seemed to be having fun. It had been a couple of years since I'd seen her this excited about something, and I couldn't help but send a silent prayer that I wouldn't get dragged into whatever this was going to turn into.

[Interlude]

The sun's rays filtered through the window, hitting my eyelids directly and forcing me to leave my beautiful sleep.

I grumbled in annoyance, turning slightly in an attempt to escape the light, but I was already awake. "Uhm...? What time is it?" I murmured groggily, squinting to look outside.

The sun was already high in the sky, which surprised me for a moment—until I remembered. Oh, right. Today was my day off. No school, no obligations. And most importantly, I had promised the girls we would go out together.

Even though my mind was still foggy, I felt a strange sensation near my lap, right above my cock—warm and completely unexpected, enough to shake me from my drowsiness.

Instinctively, I opened my eyes, and the sight before me was definitely surprising. I lowered my gaze, and right in front of me, a pair of white panties were perfectly visible.

My brain took a few seconds to process the scene before the rest of the details came into focus.

Tatsuki was on top of me, her face flushed but with a hint of defiance in her eyes, as if she were measuring my reaction. Her breathing was slightly uneven, but she didn't seem intent on backing away.

For a moment, we both remained still, time seeming to freeze in that suspended tension. My heartbeat quickened imperceptibly, but I kept my composure.

"Tatsuki..." Her name escaped my lips before I could even think of what to say.

She raised an eyebrow, tilting her head slightly. "What's wrong? Don't tell me you're embarrassed, are you?" Her tone was teasing, but the blush on her cheeks betrayed her.

I couldn't help but smile. "Embarrassed? Me?" I murmured, letting my gaze slowly travel over her, lingering on her slightly parted legs. "Should I be?"

Tatsuki swallowed, her lips pressed into a thin line. She seemed torn between the instinct to flee and the determination not to give me the satisfaction of reacting.

"Tsk..." she muttered, shifting just slightly. But that small movement was enough to make her brush against my cock again, and the heat of the contact sent a clear shiver down her spine.

"Are you the one trembling, Tatsuki?" I asked softly, tilting my face slightly toward her.

Her breath hitched for a moment, then she regained her composure. "Stop talking nonsense." Her voice was lower now, less certain as she pressed against me.

I leaned in slightly, letting my breath graze her ear. "Then why don't you move?" As I took her hand and placed it on my hard cock.

There was a long second of silence. Then, she suddenly pulled away, avoiding my gaze. "This... This..."

"Yes. It's like this because of you," I whispered into her ear. I couldn't help but feel secretly pleased when I let go of her hand—only for her to keep holding it.

Confused, embarrassed, and most of all... aroused.

To keep her distracted, I kissed her neck while I went back to teasing her body. I enjoyed her body as I pleased, and she seemed to enjoy it even more when she responded by lightly stroking my cock—perhaps unconsciously.

So, I grabbed her chin to lift her face toward me, making my intentions clear once again. Her eyes widened, and she was even more receptive than Satori.

I liked seeing her like this—trembling, cheeks flushed, eyes half-closed, and lips slightly parted in anticipation of a kiss she knew was coming.

But it wasn't like me to make her wait too long.

I leaned down to her, letting our lips brush before sinking into a slower, more controlled kiss. I felt her body relax slightly under my touch, as if every bit of tension melted away from that contact.

My fingers traced the line of her side, lingering on the warm, sensitive skin beneath the fabric. A shiver ran down her spine, and I couldn't help but smile against her lips.

After a few minutes, I pulled away, observing her still-flushed face. I didn't want to rush things—not yet. There was something delicious about waiting, about letting desire build little by little.

"You like teasing me, huh?" I murmured against her skin, lightly nibbling on her earlobe.

She shuddered, her breath hitching. "I don't—" she tried to respond, but her voice faded into a sigh when my hands resumed exploring her body with studied slowness.

A smirk crossed my lips as I held her close, feeling the warmth of her body pressed against mine. "So, what do you think? Is this enough for now?" I asked, my voice low, still slightly amused.

She didn't answer right away. Instead, she held onto me tighter, hiding her face against my chest. I couldn't see her expression, but the way she clung to me said enough.

I slid a hand through her hair, stroking it slowly. "If you stay like this, you'll make me want to keep going..."

I felt her hold her breath for a moment, then her fist weakly clenched the fabric of my shirt. She said nothing, but her silence spoke louder than words.

I chuckled softly. "We should go meet up with the others, you know?" I finally said. I would've liked to tease her a little more, but I knew when to give her space.

She barely nodded but didn't move.

I stretching lazily, and finally got up from the bed and headed to the bathroom for a cold shower, trying to calm my body down from nearly getting blue balls.

Tatsuki had come to wake me up alone, without the others. She had probably decided she wanted me all to herself—a real cute tsundere—leaving Orihime and Satori to have breakfast with my family.

At a slow pace, I left the room, letting the sounds from the kitchen guide me. The smell of freshly prepared food hit me as soon as I stepped inside, presenting me with a near-domestic scene:

Orihime chatting cheerfully with Yuzu, Satori silently listening to Karin talk about soccer, while Tatsuki, still slightly red in the face, poured herself a drink, trying to ignore me.

I sat down calmly, resting my chin on one hand and watching them with a smirk. "You girls made yourselves at home, huh?"

Tatsuki shot me a glare. Orihime beamed brightly. "Your family was kind enough to invite us for breakfast! I hope you don't mind."

"Not at all." I shook my head slightly. "Actually, I like starting the day like this." My gaze met Tatsuki's again, and she gripped her glass tighter.

Yeah, this was going to be an interesting day.

...

I was sitting on a bench at the mall, watching people pass by while waiting for the girls to finish shopping.

The idea to come here had been Tatsuki's, since neither Orihime nor Satori had ever really shown much interest in getting new clothes—not that they had much money for it.

"I still can't believe you two don't have a phone," I commented, shaking my head.

Satori just shrugged. "It never seemed that essential to me."

Orihime smiled sheepishly. "No one ever bought me one… And I didn't want to be a burden on my brother when he was still alive."

I looked at her for a moment before sighing. "Orihime, your desires matter. You shouldn't keep everything bottled up inside." Then I stood up, stretching a little. "Let's go buy them now, then."

Orihime gave me a surprised look. "But… aren't they expensive?"

I shrugged with a smile. "Meh, I've got money. I rarely spend it on anything, so don't worry." In fact, I still had well over fifty thousand dollars, even after indulging in some luxuries like consoles and gifts for my sisters.

Not that I needed to convert it right away. It was deposited in the company app, and I could transfer it to any bank account or even make it appear directly in my hand if I wanted.

In other words, I was getting more money than I could actually spend. And since it hadn't required any real effort, maybe I should donate some of it.

For a moment, the thought crossed my mind about what I'd do next after this world.

Lost in thought, I only then noticed the looks I was getting from the women around me. They probably thought I was some rich playboy out with three gorgeous girls.

Not that I minded.

After a while, Orihime and Satori finished their shopping, both looking satisfied, though with very different expressions.

Orihime's eyes sparkled with excitement as she examined her new clothes, while Satori seemed more reserved, almost indifferent.

Meanwhile, I had been distracted, scrolling through the company app, reading with interest about the benefits of multiversal travel, wondering what I'd do next.

At the register, the cashier gave me a weird look.

Yeah, I'm their sugar daddy. Can't you tell? I paid without hesitation so that neither of them would feel guilty about using me as an ATM.

Then I turned to them with a smile. "You bought so little, Satori. Are you sure you don't want more?"

She hesitated for a moment before shaking her head. "... No, I'm fine."

"Hmm," I mused. "There's a sportswear store closing soon. Let's go buy some workout clothes." I was enjoying their company on this little date.
