Chapter 425 - Chapter 425: Who is Your Bride

The moment the fragrant oil was brought out, the noses of the two gate-keeping servants grew sharp and long, irresistibly drawn to it.

"Since you're here to deliver a gift, there's no reason not to let you in."

"Young Master will praise us for doing a good job when he finds out."

The small eyes of the gate-keeping servant rolled around, his face beaming as he took the bottle of fragrant oil, greedily inhaling its scent.

Lu Fei gave Zhang Molin a wink, and the two quickly walked into the residence.

The residence was brightly lit with lanterns and decorations. Many small servants bustled about, creating an atmosphere of joy and festivity.

  It was quite strange, though.

As soon as they entered, their bodies transformed, becoming the same height as those of the other servants.

This was actually a good thing; otherwise, Lu Fei would have been worried about them standing out too much. Now they could act without any concerns.

"Lu Fei, how did you know they like sesame oil?" Zhang Molin was full of curiosity.

Even if Lu Fei has many tricks up his sleeve, he can't be a fortune teller, can he?

"Look at their appearance, what do they resemble?" Lu Fei smiled slightly.

Zhang Molin squinted and looked around.

He noticed that all the servants here looked the same, with pointed faces and sharp noses, and a smooth long tail trailing behind them.

"Could it be..." Zhang Molin's eyes widened.

"That's right!" Lu Fei nodded, "It's enough to know; don't say it out loud! There's a folk belief that these animals can understand human speech. If you mention their name, they will immediately know."

"I get it!" Zhang Molin suddenly understood, lowering his voice: "No wonder you were so cautious at the Sun family's place!"

The two men and the dog imitated the way the servants walked, moving around inside the mansion.

"To catch a thief, capture the leader. We can ignore these little ones for now."

After observing for a while, the two found the direction of the new house and stealthily made their way over.

To their surprise, Madam Feng Er was guarding at the door, pacing back and forth, her old face filled with anxiety.

The red light from the lantern illuminated her, and all the passing servants cast shadows, but there was nothing under her feet.

"Hmm, only the dead have no shadows. Is she human or a ghost?" Lu Fei couldn't help but wonder.

"Whether she's human or a ghost, this old hag colluding with monsters is truly despicable! Lu Fei, we can't let her off easily!" Zhang Molin fumed at the sight of the old hag.

"Of course! But making a move now would definitely alert them. We should wait until the monster shows up at the wedding and then settle scores together. Let's get ready and prepare a big gift for them!" A cold smile appeared on Lu Fei's face.

The two quietly set up their plans in the large mansion.

These young servants had no cultivation to speak of and couldn't detect anything at all.

At the entrance of the new house.

"I don't know where these young rascals came from today, stirring up trouble. If it weren't for the timely intervention, I would have fallen into their hands!" Madam Feng Er rubbed her twitching eyelid, feeling uneasy at heart.

The process of picking up the bride today seemed to go a bit too smoothly. She had thought that those young men would put up some resistance.

"After all, the Yin-Yang Eternal Bond Lock has already locked the girl's marital fate. They should know better than to oppose the Spirit Entity."

Just as she was thinking, a group of servants came over with a short old man in groom's clothes. The old man also had a pointed face and was old and wrinkled, with several long white beards hanging down from both sides of his lips.

A group of servants clustered around a small old man in groom's attire. The old man had a sharp face, looked old and unattractive, with long white whiskers hanging down from both sides of his mouth.

Even though he was dressed in groom's attire and wearing a groom's crown, there was still a feeling that he wouldn't look like a prince even if he wore a dragon robe.

"Immortal, I have brought you the bride. Do you remember what you promised me?" Feng Erpo hurriedly approached and respectfully bowed to the old man.

"What's the rush? The marriage isn't official until we pay homage to heaven and earth!" the old man snorted softly.

"You are right, Immortal. The auspicious time has just arrived. Let's pay homage to heaven and earth right now!" With that, Feng Shenpo went into the room and helped the bride in her red wedding dress out.

Although the bride's figure had also shrunk, she still appeared exceptionally tall among this group of short people.

"When I last saw the girl, she didn't seem this tall. Could children these days grow so fast..." Feng Shenpo escorted the bride into the hall, muttering to herself.

However, with the wedding about to start, she had no time to think any further and only wished to quickly complete the ceremony to get what she wanted.

  The hall.

Beneath a large double-happiness character, an offering table was draped in red cloth. Instead of peanuts and longan fruits, the bowls and plates were filled with bloody chicken heads.

The light from the red candles was bright.

A tall bride and a sharp-faced elderly groom, each holding a red flower, stood in the center of the hall.

Gray-clad servants surrounded them on all sides.

"First bow to heaven and earth!" Old Lady Feng shouted loudly.

The elderly groom, with his long white beard, bent over happily to bow.

But the bride, standing straight, delayed in making her bow.

The old groom's face was filled with suspicion as he frowned and glanced at Old Lady Feng.

"It must be the bride feeling shy." Madam Feng squeezed out a smile, walked over, and pressed down on the bride's back. "Bride, quickly kowtow! After you kowtow, you will be one of the Immortal family and can enjoy a life of luxury with them!"

"Yes, bride, why haven't you kowtowed yet? Marrying into the Immortal family is a rare opportunity!"

From the crowd, a teasing voice came out, followed by the servants who all joined in on the ruckus.

"Kowtow quickly, don't delay the auspicious time..." Madame Feng pressed down on the bride's back firmly.

  "Kowtow your hammer!"

Unexpectedly, a rough male voice came from beneath the red veil.

  "What?"

Madame Feng and the groom were both stunned.

Could such a deep voice come from a young girl?

"No! You, you're not a young girl!" Madame Feng's face changed dramatically as she noticed a small paper figure attached to the bride's clothing on her back.

The paper figure had the little girl's birth date and time written on it.

  "It's a stand-in!"

Madam Feng Er was greatly startled and hurriedly retreated, but was grabbed by the tall bride.

"Old hag, where do you think you're running to?"

The white-bearded old groom looked bewildered: "Madam Feng Er, what's going on with this bride?"

The bride tore off the red veil, revealing a rugged face with thick eyebrows and large eyes, her stubble even more pronounced than that of the old groom.

"You better take a good look, Old Man, am I your bride?!"

"You!" The old groom staggered back several steps, his white beard trembling, "You, you... So, Madam Feng Er, you've grown bold! Daring to deceive this immortal!"

"Immortal, I'm being wronged! I was also deceived by them." Madam Feng Er hastily explained, "They were hired by the Sun family to cause trouble..."

But the tall bride cut in: "Old hag, what are you saying? Didn't you hire me, Hu Zi Lady, to toy with this old man?"

"All right! You dare to deceive this celestial master together, tonight, none of you will be able to leave!" The old groom instantly flew into a rage, his body sprouting grayish-white fur, revealing a ferocious look.

The servants around also revealed their true forms, baring their fangs at the shaman Feng and the tall bride.

"That's right, none of you will be able to leave tonight!"

  Just then.

Lu Fei and Zhang Molin stepped forward one after the other, looking at the room full of rat-people with a smile on their faces.
