Chapter 418 - Chapter 418: The Survivors

Hu Zi picked up Erdan in one go.

"With your courage, you still dare to follow in the footsteps of those in the underworld?"

Erdan trembled as he leaned against his father, his legs as weak as noodles. In truth, his father's face was also pale.

  "Molun, be careful."

Lu Fei and Zhang Molun exchanged a glance and cautiously stepped into the bloodstained room.

Blood was everywhere, leaving almost no place to step.

They followed the bloodstains on the ground and found the stairwell, where a person covered in blood lay on the ground, a bloodstained kitchen knife beside their hand.

"He can't really be dead, can he?"

Their hearts sank as they quickly walked over and turned the person over.

Who knew, just as they moved him.

The man's head detached from his neck and rolled around in the pool of blood before stopping at the doorway.

His bloodstained eyes were staring right at Erdan and his father outside the door.

  "Second, Second Brother!"

Erdan screamed, his eyes rolled back, and he fainted into his father's arms.

Erdan's father felt an icy chill all over, his legs trembling, but he forced himself to stay strong for his son.

The terrifying scene made even Lu Fei and the other two feel goosebumps, let alone the father and son.

"Hu Zi, quickly take them to the car."

Lu Fei grabbed a tablecloth from nearby and covered the head with it.

Hu Zi helped Father and Son Er Dan into the car.

"He's actually dead! I never expected the evil spirits in this haunted house to be so vicious!" Zhang Moli's face darkened, "If they all die, how will we find the place?"

"Don't panic, there's always a way!" Lu Fei steadied his mind and thought for a moment, "Find his phone. It might have the address."

"Right, hurry up and find it!"

The three of them began searching the house thoroughly.

Hu Zi pushed open the bathroom door.

  "Get out! Get out!"

A blood-stained cleaver was immediately swung at him.

He quickly dodged and seized the opponent's wrist, applying a forceful twist.

  "Ah!"

With a scream of pain, the cleaver clattered to the ground.

"You're not good enough to play dirty with me, Hu Zi Lord!" Huzi pulled the man out, kicked him over, and stepped on him.

  "Get away! Get away..."

The man roared hoarsely, struggling like a worm with all his might.

  "Huzi!"

Lu Fei and Zhang Molin, hearing the commotion, rushed over.

This man was also covered in blood, with many wounds on his body, but his neck was not broken.

His eyes were red, seemingly having suffered a great shock, and he was in some kind of frenzied state.

  "Calm down!"

Lu Fei channeled his magic power, pressing his palm against the man's forehead.

  "Get..."

The crimson in the man's eyes faded considerably, and he gradually calmed down, panting heavily and looking at the three strangers with fear and unease.

"You, you have heads... Who are you?"

"I am Er Dan's brother!" Zhang Mollin fixed his gaze on him, "And who are you?"

The man was silent for a moment before saying, "My name is Lao Pao...that kid Er Dan likes to hang out with us, and he calls me big brother..."

"So it's you!" Zhang Mollin snorted coldly, "Tell me, where did you steal those dirty things from?"

"What did Er Dan tell you?" The man's eyes darted around, and after struggling a bit and finding he couldn't escape from Hu Zi's large foot, he looked up and said, "Can you let me get up first?"

Hu Zi looked at Lu Fei, and only after getting Lu Fei's approval did he loosen his grip on his foot.

Lao Pao struggled to get up from the ground, fearfully touching his neck and looking around.

"Egg told everything, it was you who took him to that haunted house to steal! I'm telling you, if you don't return those items, all of you will die!" Zhang Mo Lin said with a dark expression, having no good feelings for this thug leader who had led Egg astray.

"Haunted house?" Lao Pao was stunned, opening his bloodshot eyes wide, "What haunted house?"

"Do you not know what place you went to steal from?" Lu Fei chuckled.

This man was in his thirties, with a weasel-like face, a typical look of a deceitful thief.

All three of them stared at him coldly.

  "Was there a ghost there?"

Lao Pao seemed to react belatedly, as if just coming to his senses, with waves of fear appearing in his eyes.

"No wonder, no wonder Er and I saw so many headless people... We panicked, no matter how much we cut with knives, we couldn't finish them off... By the way, where is Er? Did you see him when you came in?"

"Of course I saw it," Lu Fei sneered.

  "Where?"

Lu Fei gave Hu Zi a signal.

Hu Zi walked over and lifted the tablecloth covering the head.

  "Second Brother!"

Old Cannon was instantly terrified, his whole body starting to tremble.

  "H-how did he..."

"He cut off his own head!"

Lu Fei's words made him feel as if he had fallen into an ice cellar, not daring to look at the grim head again.

"Tell me, where is the haunted house?" Lu Fei crossed his arms.

Old Cannon was trembling all over, looking at Lu Fei in horror: "Aren't you afraid?"

"Afraid?" Hu Zi sneered, "With my boss around, it's only the ghosts who should be scared!"

Old Cannon looked at the three of them in astonishment. Seeing the Taoist robe on Zhang Molin, he suddenly realized: "You are Taoist practitioners! Can you exorcise ghosts?"

His eyes lit up with a spark of joy, and he reached out to grab Lu Fei's clothes, only to be met with a cold glare from Lu Fei.

"Master, save me! I will pay any amount of money as long as you can keep me alive!"

He bowed and nodded towards the three of them.

"Does my boss care about your dirty money?" Hu Zi clenched his fists, making a cracking sound, "Don't tell me you didn't understand. My boss is asking where the haunted house is."

Old Cannon's eyes darted around, and he hurriedly said, "Okay, okay, I'll take you there!"

"Not only do you have to take us there, but you also need to bring all the gold and silver you stole and return it! Don't even think about having any more wicked thoughts, or not even a deity can save you!" Zhang Molin glared at him sternly.

"Return everything?" Old Cannon was stunned.

"How can it be, at this point, you still can't bear to part with it? Then you're beyond saving, just wait for your head to roll." Lu Fei pulled Zhang Molin and was about to leave.

"No, don't go! I'll get it right away, isn't that okay?"

Old Cannon hurriedly ran to the bedroom and pulled out a small leather suitcase from a hidden compartment in the wardrobe, which was full of gold and silver jewelry.

The golden light was dazzling, so opulent that it was hard to look away.

Old Cannon took a few reluctant glances, then closed the box, locked it with a code, and carried it out.

"Change your clothes!" Lu Fei glanced at him, covered in blood.

  "Yes!"

Old Cannon washed his face, disregarding his injuries, and took off his blood-stained clothes.

Lu Fei noticed, almost by chance, that he was wearing an amulet around his neck. It was probably because of this talisman that he had escaped unscathed last night.

  "Masters, it's ready."

Old Cannon changed his clothes and finally looked somewhat human.

They first sent Second Egg and his father home, then let Old Cannon direct them towards the haunted house.

As for Yang Laodier's body, they would deal with it after taking care of the haunted house.

  Dozens of kilometers away.

The car stopped at the entrance of an unfamiliar village.

Old Cannon pointed at the tallest three-story building in the village.

"That's the place. The house is decorated like a villa in the city, and it looks rich, but who knew it was a haunted house?"

Lu Fei and Zhang Molin looked at it, both showing doubtful expressions on their faces.

In the sunset, the three-story building looked perfectly normal, with people coming and going.

Where was there any sign of it being a haunted house?
