Chapter 115 - 107: Hakuto's Plan! Absolutely Perfect!

Just like that, the Nakano quintuplets spent a pleasant afternoon playing their new game.

However, Hakuto's purpose for coming here tomorrow wasn't just to find people to play Three Kingdoms Kill with. His main goal was still tutoring.

"Hmm? Shiratori, you're not playing anymore?"

Miku, sitting beside him, looked at Hakuto as he stood up and asked.

Hearing this, Hakuto waved his hand nonchalantly and said, "Nah, you guys are still beginners. I'll join again once you're more familiar with it…"

Then, he turned to Nino and smiled.

"Nino… where's the thing I asked you to prepare?"

"I know, I know, it's in the drawer of the coffee table. Now stop bothering me, I'm playing as the divine Xun Yu."

Hearing this, Itsuki also put down her card and looked at Hakuto, who was walking toward the coffee table.

She then asked Nino curiously, "Nino, what did Shiratori-sensei ask you to prepare?"

"Our entrance exam papers…"

Itsuki had already expected something like this to end up in Hakuto's hands sooner or later. But thinking about her own entrance exam scores, she still felt a little embarrassed.

"Oh!! I'm definitely taking the role of Governor of Yizhou!"

"Hmm? Yotsuba, did you draw Zhang Ba again?"

Meanwhile, Hakuto sighed helplessly as he looked at the test papers on the coffee table.

Although he already knew the quintuplets' grades weren't great, seeing them firsthand was another matter entirely.

That said, it wasn't all bad.

For example, Nino was decent at English, and Miku wasn't too bad at history…

So, does that mean they really need to combine their strengths to achieve greatness?

"The last time I graded someone's homework was probably in my past life…"

Despite his complaints, Hakuto's hands didn't stop moving. The red pen in his hand danced across the papers, writing and marking without pause.

There were only two reasons he bought Three Kingdoms Kill to play with the quintuplets.

First, to spark their enthusiasm for learning.

Just now, he had used the generals' abilities to tell them various stories from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

He could tell that through this method, the quintuplets listened with curiosity rather than impatience.

Of course, the exams in Japan didn't test Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and even if they did, the score weight would be minimal.

So his real goal wasn't to teach them about the Three Kingdoms—it was to make future tutoring sessions go more smoothly.

Besides, if he could build a bond with the quintuplets, then even if they failed their exams, Nakano Maruo probably wouldn't fire him.

And with that bond, the quintuplets would likely be more motivated to study.

Even though Hakuto was confident in his abilities, it was always good to have a backup plan.

The second reason was Miku.

After today's events, she would probably beg Hakuto for tutoring.

Now, four of the quintuplets were on board!

Only one remained—Ichika, who had dreams of becoming an actress.

Because of this dream, she spent her free time working part-time, auditioning for roles, and honing her acting skills.

In Hakuto's eyes, studying wasn't the only path in life, and pursuing acting wasn't a bad choice.

But the contract was crystal clear—he had to ensure all five sisters passed their exams.

He had no choice. Even though he supported Ichika's dream, he still had a contract to fulfill.

What Hakuto didn't realize was that he was yawning more and more frequently, and his once elegant handwriting was starting to look shaky.

It wasn't really his fault.

Last night, he had stayed up late because of that flying ability user, and the aftereffects of overclocking his mind were kicking in. It would be a lie to say he wasn't tired.

But still!

Sleep! It was the lowest-cost desire!

Hakuto refused to be defeated by such a trivial urge!!

And then, the next second…

The red pen in his hand slipped to the floor, and he collapsed onto the sofa, fast asleep.

Hakuto didn't know that shortly after he dozed off, the quintuplets all put down their game and gathered around him, whispering.

Miku poked his face, but he didn't react.

"Shiratori… is he asleep…?"

Yotsuba said, "Did he pass out from seeing our test scores?"

Itsuki added, "My scores might be bad, but they're not that bad…"

Ichika gently brushed a strand of Hakuto's hair and looked at Nino.

"Hey, Nino… Shiratori is really handsome, isn't he?"

"Hah? Isn't that obvious? The people I approve of must pass the looks test first."

"Were there ever tutors who taught like this?"

"Maybe it's just because it's our first day, so he wanted to make things more relaxed?"

"Whoa! Shiratori-sensei's handwriting is so pretty! He even drew me a little bunny!"

Yotsuba was excited, but before she could finish, Itsuki quickly covered her mouth.

Yotsuba turned her head and found the other four staring at her with dangerous eyes.

"Shhh~ x4…"

"Oh, my bad…" Yotsuba's rabbit-ear headband twitched as she gave an embarrassed smile.

But their concerns were unnecessary.

At Hakuto's current level of exhaustion, not even an earthquake could wake him up, let alone their chatter.

"Maybe things won't be so boring from now on…"

"I thought with his grades, Shiratori-sensei's teaching methods would be super strict."

"Hah? You guys don't know… this guy Shiratori? Spacing out in class was the least of his problems."

"Aside from Hiratsuka-sensei's class, he was practically nonexistent in every other lesson…"

Nino couldn't understand how someone with such a lax attitude toward studying managed to score so well. She could only pout in frustration.

At that moment, Itsuki seemed to remember something and turned to Yotsuba.

"Speaking of which, Yotsuba, don't people at school always use you for free labor?"

"Huh? No, they don't…"

Yotsuba scratched her head awkwardly.

She wasn't good at refusing people, and since she was athletic, the basketball team often roped her in for extra practice.

Miku played with her Zhao Yun card and said flatly, "If Yotsuba doesn't want to go, she can just use Shiratori's name."

"Wouldn't that cause trouble for Shiratori-sensei?"

"They wouldn't dare…"

Even someone as indifferent to outside matters as Miku knew—those guys on the basketball team wouldn't dare mess with Hakuto.
