It's been a week since they entered that cursed dungeon.
A full week. And no updates. No messages. No blip of mana that could reassure me that Daelan is still breathing.
I've been restless, pacing holes into the carpets. So I did what any emotionally distressed and entirely reasonable person would do—
I went shopping.
Obviously, I didn't go alone. I dragged Im Lina with me. It was hell getting her to come. Miss alchemist has a twisted love affair with her lab, and if I hadn't threatened to have Benjamin kidnap her, she might've stayed glued to her glass vials and formula sheets for eternity.
Now she walks beside me, looking incredibly awkward in Sector A's pristine upper district, and I don't even try to hide my amusement.
Benjamin trails behind us like my personal six-foot purse rack, arms loaded with shopping bags and looking mildly offended about it.
