"Rituals" are not unchanging. Once the nation descends into chaos or no longer fits with the times, the collapse of ritual and music will cause calamities within the Human Dao.
The earlier manuscripts were somewhat abstract, perhaps baffling to the layman who would need years of learning to understand.
