Those creatures, with lion-like heads, fleshy wings, and spiked tails, known as "Lion Scorpions" or "Scorpion-tailed Lions," are larger than Stormhawks but still much smaller than Griffins. Though their flying speed and altitude don't match those of Stormhawks and Griffins, they are flying beasts nonetheless, and traveling in a straight line from the air is significantly faster than horseback travel.
