Using clever tactics of ko fights and blockades, the black pieces progressively tightened their encirclement of the White Dragon. Although the white pieces struggled several times, trying to find a way to live or create external liberties to ensure survival, the defense of the black pieces was watertight, nearly sealing off all possible escape routes.
As the game progressed, there were fewer and fewer open spots on the board, and time was increasingly pressing for the white pieces. Each move had to be carefully considered, not only attempting to save the White Dragon but also taking the overall situation into account to avoid further losses.
However, the black pieces played steadily and methodically, not only consolidating their own territory but also continually compressing the living space of the white pieces.
