Inside the abandoned and dilapidated station, the moonlight was chilling. The rust-covered architectural structure was cloaked in dirt and dust.
Like a monstrous creature squatting on the tracks, the train's front projected two beams of piercing light toward the impenetrable darkness beyond; in the air dangled white paper lanterns emitting a faint, eerie blue glow; and from within the train cabin came the indistinct sound of a woman sorrowfully singing opera…
All of this was frozen in the eyes of the guests, like an unsettling yet hauntingly beautiful painting under the moon. It seemed deliberately designed to guide one's imagination toward the misfortune awaiting them after boarding the train.
"It looks horrifying,"
Jiang Yunmei furrowed her delicate brows, clearly uncomfortable.
"Yeah, why would they do this? Aren't they afraid they'll scare people away?"
Song Yutang crossed her arms, gazing at the train with some degree of puzzlement.
