The Frost Descent of late autumn.
Once the sun dipped below the earth, the cold began to settle.
For the rich, it was no special season, but for the poor, it could be when their pockets were at their fullest throughout the year.
During this period, the farmers had busied themselves with the last harvest and sold their crops for cash to keep for the New Year, while the remaining surplus grain was stored for their own winter; as for the laborers, they had to "work overtime" in the last half month before the Start of Winter in order to earn enough for a set of winter clothes, otherwise, they wouldn't even be able to step out the door once winter began.
