Chapter 1 - Ch. 1 15 Years of Age

" Cain, are you sure you want to go through with this?"

I looked up to see my Father, his eyes showing worry as I picked my bag.

" Yes, It's time that I must adventure on my own." I replied as I finished packing and threw the bag over my shoulder.

" Well… at least say goodbye to your mother." Father said before turning around.

I walked out of the house and followed the purple flowers to a garden.

Mother loves purple, maybe because she could only see the color purple. But oddly enough she seemed to be able to tell the color of my father green eyes.

" Mother."

I called out to her as she had her back to me as she tended to her garden.

" Yes?" Her voice calm as she stopped and turned her focus towards me.

Her purple eyes betrayed her inner turmoil yet she remained focus as if she was taking last look of her son.

I hesitated, holding the words I was about to say but ultimately made up my mind.

" Mother, I'll be leaving now…" I said before feeling my mother wrapping her arms around me.

" Stay Safe. My Baby boy." She muffled as she rubbed my head.

" I will." I replied as my mother took my hand.

" This belonged to your grandfather, It'll help guide you." My mother smiled as I acccepted the gift.

" Thanks Mom. I'll be going now." I said as i walked away with the gift in my hand, it was a necklace with the shape of a moon.

Mother followed along until we saw father standing by the open fence. He wore a proud expression, yet in his eye showed a glimpse of reluctance.

" Cain…" Father placed his hand on my shoulder with a serious expression.

" Our Family's traditions, honor and fate are to explore and experience the world the day we come to age. This day… is a special day for you my son."

" Take care, Son." Mother offered her last words as I turned around and stepped out the gates.

I stood for a few moments before steeling my resolve. I didn't look back, I couldn't.

I forced my focus in front of me, to keep moving forward and to not look back.

' Damn it!' I sighed as I quickly turned around and gave them a hug which surprised them. I know I wasn't really affectionate with them growing up but I knew I would've regretted if I didn't do this.

" I'll be going now…" I said taking one last look at my parents before walking away from the home I grew up in and the parents who took care of me.

I walked downhill entering the village and passing it's villagers.

" Running away from home?"

I stopped in my tracks and turned to look at the blacksmith.

" I'm not running away Old Dean." I replied as the blacksmith nodded his head as he placed one of his crafts on a shelf.

" If you ain't runnin, then why the bag?" He asked while picking up a pieces of metal from a basket.

" For adventure, father said this is tradition in our family." I replied.

" Huh?" The blacksmith sat down and glanced at me.

" So you finally turned 15, so that ruckus last night was because of you." He frowned as he melted the pieces of metal into a furnace.

" Sorry about that." I felt a little awkward for causing the old man trouble.

The old man scoffed before throwing something into my hand.

" Here, your gift." He looked back at the furnace as I observed the knife in my hand.

I unsheathed the blade to see the metal forged from iron.

" Thank you."

" eh. Go on and get going." He shoo'd me away with is hand.

I began to walk away to the village gates, one of the guards noticed me and began to open them.

" Good luck out there kid, hope you'll make your old man proud."

I nodded and left the village but before the gates could close I heard a someone shout behind me.

" Cain…"

I looked back to see a group of people, the villagers standing at the gates.

" Good luck!"

" Have a safe trip!"

" Come back with lots of sweets!"

" Thank you everyone!" I replied waving at them before continuing my journey.

15 years in this world and I finally get to explore.

' Wonder what adventure awaits… maybe I'll become a famous adventurer.' I thought to myself.

I didn't know what world I currently resided in and I didn't have the chance to find out since I've live in a remote village.

Though I did managed to learn a few things from passerby merchants but only a few stories or rumors. Anything else, you needed to pay.

Days have gone by as I passed through a few towns and villages.

My objective was to arrive at a city called Gale which isn't far as I could see it from a distance.

" Finally, a city."

I walked faster as excitement built in my chest as I reached the gates where I had to pay a fee.

The city was… quite the sight since it's my first time seeing a city in a fantasy world.

The tall walls, residential building and atmosphere was a huge difference then a modern city.

And as I explored more of the city the more I gained information of the world I now reside the more shocking I realized where I reincarnated into.
