She turned on her feet and walked over to where Bai Feng was sitting silently on a plush couch. Hiding the calculative glint in her eyes, she plopped down on the floor — and knelt right in front of Bai Feng. Though the pain in her knees made Bai Xue's eyes turn red with tears, she suppressed the urge to cry. She lowered her head and begged in an aggrieved voice,
"Brother Feng, I beg you to save Yueyue. That man —the one who hurt her—is actually living with her. I don't know what his intentions are but since he is keeping her by his side, I don't think that's anything good."
Bai Feng frowned upon hearing her words. He straightened up on the couch and faint golden sparks flew from the tips of his fingers, which singed the edges of the couch. He glanced down at Bai Xue with a faint angry look, which made the woman suck in a breath.
