Chapter 163 - Unfamiliar Presence

Raelynn walked slowly through the long hallway. The faint sound of her steps echoed softly, accompanied by the steady rhythm of Hera's beside her.

Her hands lightly brushed against the smooth wall as she took careful steps forward. Though the wounds on her feet from the shattered glass had mostly healed, they still ached at times, reminding her to tread carefully. Yet, despite the discomfort, she pushed forward.

Hera, walking attentively beside her, occasionally glanced at her with a concerned expression. Her dark brown eyes held a softness, her lips slightly parted as if she wanted to speak but held herself back.

Raelynn noticed. She always did.

"Hera, I think I want to start walking alone again."

Hera blinked, her brows furrowing slightly. "Are you sure, Lady Raelynn? Your injuries may seem better, but you should still be careful."
