Chapter 53 - Dealing things like past

Naruto and Sakura were walking through the dense forest, the atmosphere tense with unspoken thoughts. The weight of the events that had just transpired hung heavily in the air.

Sakura, unable to hold back her curiosity any longer, turned to Naruto and asked, "Master… what about Sasuke? He fought with a very tough opponent. What happened to him?"

Naruto, his expression indifferent, replied, "Actually, the opponent he faced is at least of Kakashi's level in terms of chakra and strength. If he had just given up the scroll, it wouldn't have gone this far. Now, he is on the verge of death."

Naruto thought to himself, Not that I care much or less about him. If he dies in the hospital, I will take his eyes then and there… If not, I will wait for Itachi's eyes.

Sakura, hearing this, placed her hands over her mouth in shock. "Ohhhh… that's too much."

Naruto continued walking as if he hadn't heard her. His mind was occupied with deeper thoughts. With strength, one can overpower one or two or a hundred or even a thousand. But to completely dominate and rule the whole world, overpowering strength alone isn't enough. One needs to know where to assert domination, how to form allies, and where to build connections.

He understood the risk. If I go too far, I might turn the entire world against me. That's why I must be cautious, move with the flow, gather materials, and create elixirs.

As they walked, the rustling of leaves signaled an ambush. Suddenly, three figures appeared before them.

The middle person spoke first. "Hand over the scroll or die."

Sakura, reacting quickly, said, "We don't have any scrolls."

Naruto, unimpressed, raised his index finger and pointed at the middle person. "Now… hand over the scroll or die."

The middle man laughed loudly. "HAHAHAHA!"

Then, with a wicked grin, he commanded his teammates, "Kill them. I want to see their blood now."

Naruto had already set up his formless threads loosely around his hands and legs. The middle man, standing still with arrogance, believed himself untouchable. However, in a swift motion, Naruto tightened the invisible threads.

THUD!

The middle man dropped to the ground, screaming in agony as his limbs were severed instantly.

"AHHHHHHhhhhhhh!"

His teammates stood frozen in shock. Even Sakura was stunned by Naruto's ability to cut the enemy down without a single visible movement.

The remaining two members bit their lips, believing it to be a genjutsu. But the scene before them remained unchanged.

Naruto smirked. "It's not an illusion. I really cut down his arms and legs."

Then, with a commanding voice, he gave them an ultimatum. "Now, you have two choices:

Give me the scroll, follow me, and fail the exam.

Die right now by my hands."

The two opponents fell to their knees, trembling. "We follow you and fail the exam."

Naruto nodded. "That's good."

He extended his hand, signaling them to bring the scroll. Without hesitation, they searched their fallen leader, retrieving the scroll from his pocket and handing it over.

Naruto examined it. A Heaven Scroll…

Then, pointing at their leader, he gave another order. "One of you slice through his heart. The other, slice through his throat."

The two subordinates froze. No matter what, he was still their leader and fellow student. Killing him wasn't easy, but the fear of death loomed over them.

Naruto, unfazed, said, "You have to prove your loyalty to me. Now, kill him or die by my hands."

The leader, realizing his imminent death, began to plead. Tears streamed down his face. "Don't kill me… don't kill me… please."

His teammates hesitated. Seeing this, Naruto remained silent, watching intently.

Desperate, the leader played on their emotions. "Don't you remember how we all did missions as a team? Please, spare me…"

But his teammates, gritting their teeth, responded with a final, "I'm sorry."

They gripped their swords tightly.

Realizing his fate was sealed, the leader turned to Naruto and cursed, "You will not die an easy death."

Naruto chuckled. "Sure. I am waiting."

THUD!

the other two, one sliced his head and other pierced his heart.

The leader collapsed, lifeless. His blood stained the ground.

The two remaining subordinates knelt, guilt overwhelming them. Meanwhile, Sakura, despite maintaining a calm expression, felt a cold sweat run down her back.

Naruto looked at them and ordered, "Follow me. Let's search for the other scroll."
