Shen Chi heard the words and his expression eased slightly. As he raised his head to say something more, he realized that Lin Xiaoguai had already fallen asleep. He swallowed the words he was about to say, stood up carefully to cover her with the blanket, and tiptoed out of the room.

"Do I need you to tell me that? I've been cooking a pot of chicken soup on the stove," Luo Yufang retorted with a glance.
"I was just saying," Shen Chi remarked awkwardly, then added, "Wanwan fancied some Zhajiang noodles yesterday. Is the sauce ready?"
