Cherreads

Chapter 68 - Bonds; January 8th

I groaned, a heavy weight pressing against my chest and arm. I sputtered as I woke, spitting hairs from my mouth. Why'd Ver…. I paused. Staring at the ceiling as I freed my left arm. I rubbed at my eyes, blinking rapidly before I looked down. Splayed across my chest was a mop of blond hair, clinging to my left arm was a head of black hair.

I took a few deep breaths as I took in the two women, mostly bare sprawled across me. The two had towels loosely crumpled in their arms. I slowly eased myself out from under the two, biting my lip as Regina's nails dug into my bicep as I tried to ease away.

I slowly extracted myself, putting my blanket over them as they cuddled closer to one another. I stood over them, wondering what the hell had happened last night. I'd been talking to them. Tanya had bid farewell, she'd had meetings early this morning. I'd tried to shoo Regina and Siska out as well, I'd been so tired, absolutely drained… maybe i'd passed out? I looked over to the kitchen, seeing most of the two's uniforms tossed on the table with… five empty wine bottles and three of my wine glasses on their side.

I glanced down at the two and frowned. They were slowly embracing each other, mumbling in their sleep. Why'd they drink so much? What had the occasion been? I sighed and walked over, grabbing their discarded uniforms and headed into the bedroom, grabbing the ironing board and iron. I'd not used this in a while… I threw some coffee in the coffee maker and started pressing the jackets.

I finished with those, poured myself a cup then started on the pants. I folded their uniforms, placing them on different chairs before walking into the kitchen. Ivanov had insisted I take the day off, so though it was a wednesday I didn't have anything to do…

I grabbed my Darling's notebook from the coffee table, casting a glance at the girls as I wandered back to the kitchen. I flipped to where i'd stopped, continuing from where I'd left off.

[I had another dream last night, they were there again, the sword and shield… they were finally bonding with him, it melted my heart though it hurt to watch. The brujeria continues to grant me visions, not all to my liking… I just want to be there with him, so… sooooo much. it hurts so much that it can not be so. But maybe they can be his help when I am gone. Death may do us part, but I will always watch over him, because I love him ALWAYS, and forever.] I closed the journal again. She was writing in riddles again… who was she talking about? This sword and shield…. Had she seen her own death with her witchcraft? Why'd she still go then? I slowly calmed myself, I needed to put this from my mind for now.

Well, I might as well make breakfast for my uninvited guests… I started by grilling some bacon, then got out the sausage and waffle maker before making some scrambled eggs. Either the smell or sound of me setting the table for three must have woken them. Siska appeared first, blinking wildly as she stretched. Regina appeared moments later, yawning widely and sniffing at the air. Both women looked around, their faces slowly turning reddish.

"Sleep well?" I asked, pointedly taking the chair faced away from the two.

"Do we not look good enough for you sir?" Siska demanded hotly.

"Two beautiful women, barely clothed, wake up. And you sit facing away from them?" she continued. I heard the two of them getting up. One of them walked up behind me instead of to their clothes, which I'd put nearby. I'd also taken the liberty of providing them with the option of some of my old clothes, though that was likely to be ridiculously oversized.. A pair of arms wrapped around me.

"Thank you… I… Thank you Andrew…" Siska started, then thanked me again as she trailed off. She buried her face into my shoulder. I felt another pair of arms wrap around me and a head rest against mine. I sat silently for a minute, watching the breakfast I'd so laboriously prepare get progressively colder.

"Soooo… Are the two of you not hungry? I can eat alone if that's the case…" I spoke up, desperately wanting the two of them to just stop. They released me, though it seemed rather reluctant. A few seconds later they sat in the other chairs. They'd chosen my shirts it seemed. They hung loosely on the both of them. What was it with women and oversized men's clothes?

I gave them a small, strained smile as we started eating. I waited until they finished before I cleared my throat. "So… mind telling me why you two decided to drink… then fall asleep on me?"

"It was my fault sir." Regina bowed her head.

"I wanted to share a bottle with Siska, we got carried away…" she trailed off. I looked to Siska, she shrugged and nodded.

"We thought we'd put you to sleep in your bed and figured we'd sleep on the couches." she supplied.

"There's a guest room, right next to the closet you got the towels from…" I replied. The two shared a look that seemed to say, like we could have remembered that last night. I sighed and rolled my eyes.

"Look… my wife might have something in her closet that will fit you two. It's the one on the left." I gestured for the two of them to go get dressed in some actual clothes. They vanished into my room. There was quickly a lot of excited talking, squeals of giddy surprise, and then a crash followed by silence. I sighed… the bar had probably fallen again… I'll get to it later. I cleaned the kitchen and living room while I waited. I heard soft steps. I finished whipping down the table before I turned around.

"Wwhhaaaaa… where'd that… come from?" I asked as I saw what the two were wearing. Siska wore a midnight blue dress that clung to her figure a deep V that was hiding just enough to not be scandalous, a bit of makeup highlighted her cherry lips and blue eyes. There was a small black handbag that she was carrying. She winked, almost seductively.

Regina wore a deep scarlet sundress, hints of mascara around her eyes made the green fleches within pop. she had a small cross on a gold chain around her neck, a plain silver bracelet on her left wrist. Little red heels accented everything as she swayed slightly, the skirt almost floating around her.

"What do you think?" Regina asked, her face reddening.

"I think your wife had excellent taste…" Siska said with a smile

"You two look… great… beautiful…" I allowed as I quashed whatever rebellious stirings my heart was creating. These were my coworkers, my subordinates…

"Come on. Let's go shopping, we need to make you as handsome as can be! Our treat!" Siska said as she started pushing me to the door.

I protested, but found myself being overruled by the two. I found myself in a mall, being ushered from shop to shop, trying on hundreds of different outfits, occasionally they'd buy a few pieces here or there and by lunch I was dressed in a pair of soft leather boots, jeans, a white polo with a red flannel shirt as they forced me into a barbers.

They chatted furiously with the barber, overruling my meager input without a care. I walked out of the mall with eight bags full of clothes and footwear with the two of them hanging cheerfully on either arm. "Oh! We should go to the movies, they made that translated version of Anora!"

"I'd rather see Twisters…" I said meekly.

"Let's see both! But let's get dinner first!" Regina beamed as we piled into my truck. I repressed a sigh and my misery. Where had my day of relaxation gone? And why would they still not tell me where the clothes they were wearing came from? They fit them perfectly and they were certainly not my wife's size…
