As grand as it may sound, these were a set of forbidden spells crafted by the very first mage of humanity.
At first, these were created to act as a helping hand for the mages. A helping hand that could potentially give them a push towards the stage of transcendence.
However, as time passed by, mages began to realize how big of a danger these spells posed to the caster. The powers of these spells far surpassed the level of gods, and just like the saying goes, 'Nothing is free in this world'.
Once the spell was cast, each second costed a life. A life that was strong enough to cast those spells. In much simpler words, lives of 8th circle mages or above.
It was an absurd condition and the world acknowledged that. With time, these spells faded away from the memories of the world.
