He couldn't help but imagine what Avery would do if she found out she had been watched, a smile tugged his lips as he thought of her reaction. His little secretary had grown into
something beautiful. Avery would doubt Mike - he knew that. But as long as he could see her and listen to her voice he was fine.
" You did well," he said to Mike.
" What next boss?" Mike asked
Alex got up from his chair with the tablet still in his hand.
" Now, we wait for the big show."
He disconnected the call, adrenaline rushed through him when he thought about Avery.
It's been two years since they last saw each other. He frowned when he remembered their last conversation before she left the country. He didn't get to say goodbye, he made a promise to himself and he had fulfilled it. He had found her and this time till death separated, he wasn't going to let go.

" Sigh"
Avery slumped on her chair, today had been hectic. She massaged her temples when her phone vibrated with a notification.
Suzzy had sent her a message-she was going on a date with Pablo.
She replied to her before throwing her phone on the desk.
Everything was moving fast, Suzzy would be getting married a month later. Was her friend ready to settle down or was she trying to forget Samuel? She just hoped it was the former. Avery couldn't help when her thoughts drifted to that someone.
" Are you still a playboy Alex? What will your reaction be when you hear I'm getting married?" she asked herself.
God knows she has missed him but she was too stubborn to go back to Europe. The place haunted her, it held memories she was trying to forget. She looked at the locked safe beside her desk, it was designed for only her, she pressed the passcode, and a photo of Alex rested in the safe. Who was she deceiving when she said she had moved on? Avery brought out the picture, a soft smile escaping her lips when her gaze landed on him.
"I'm sorry I couldn't say goodbye. I was hurt to see you for the last time. I hope you forgive me."

" Send the unfinished documents to my email," Alex instructed.
He was immersed in the call when the office door opened and ended up with a loud slam.
He didn't need anyone to tell him it was Samuel. He ended the call to listen to his tantrum. Ever since both Avery and Suzzy left the country both weren't themselves but Samuel went through a lot. He felt sorry for his friend but that doesn't mean he should act recklessly.
" What do you want Sam?" Alex asked as he slipped his phone in his pocket.
" Haven't you heard, he is back. Black Eagle." Sam exclaimed.
" And what do you want me to?"
Sam slammed his hands on the desk;
" Are you kidding me? He can help us find the girls. Please tell you you are not over Avery because I'm not over Suzzy."
